Used near some tropical plants in the winter. Water does collect in the base pan, and leaks through the rubber feet and through the holes in the bottom. After we realized this we put the humidifier on something to collect this water.

Just wish the tank was a little bigger so I wouldn’t have to top it off every night. The water in the tank will last about 8 hrs. You do hear a little gurgling nose when the unit is heating the water, but will not disturb your sleep.

Since it's heated, if you have hard water, the limescale build up on the heating element and water basin.

Some humidifiers naturally produce a lighter aroma since oils diffuse outside the water tank, but you should still notice it nearby.
