Cheap product and low quality

It was used only twice in the month. Now the red light indicating no water comes on within 5 mins of use, both at the low and high settings. Can't return it as it has been 28 days since I bought it. I have cleaned it twice and there are no scales on the heating element.

As water is released into the base, a 'gurgling' noise can be heard as air enters the tank. This is normal for this humidifier while it is producing output. Reread instructions- checked everything out. restarted. Nothing. So I ended up taking it back. I don't know if it was just a defective one or not. Went and bought a different one from another store.

Strong chemical odor
