    This humidifier did increase the humidity in my room but not by much, about 3%. In addition it left a white residue on all surfaces. I think this is from the hard water in our area. Needless to say I'm not going to pay for a water softening system in order for this unit to work well in my home.

    Builds up with hard water gunk very fast... and we dont have very hard water but otherwise it works well
