We asked too much of this fan considering it's summer in Ca. It would probably do alright if you had temps in the 70's. You can't really feel it a few ft away so how could it cool you? I don't know about a small room, but maybe.

Not strong enough

I wanted to like it but just couldn’t spend money for something that barely moved my dress when standing a foot away from it, while on its highest level.

Started squeaking on oscillation after 3 weeks.
