We also like the featureof the different speeds. The timer and abilty to change the angle are very nice. Also the adjustable night light is a good feature.

Not sure eight different fan settings is necessary but they are there if you need them. I find myself only using 3 or 4 of them . The fan is supposed to be quiet but has had a squeaking noise at times (sometimes very noisy), like something is misaligned. I deal with this, when it happens by tweaking the fan and base a little.
