Not totally quiet but not too noisy for you not to sleep. You have to bring it a bit close to you to enjoy the breeze. I love that it rotates. Good buy.

I keep it on the middle setting for just the right amount of sound and air blowing. I love that it doesn't take up much space and that it doesn't get dusty.

I think they knew this sub-model was messed up because there wasn't any to swap out. So I grabbed the upgraded one and have had NO issues.

Quiet? No!

The color bar and eight Quiet Settings are deceptive, they really refer to fan speed or power vs. providing any differentiating feature ex. “Calm”, “Whitenoise”, “Refresh” etc.;there is nothing related to those terms. The fan is effectively provides cool air - so no regrets on meeting the purpose of buying it. The fan however is NOT quiet. It has a persistent rattle and when on oscillation creaks/whines so definitely is lacking in meeting a key promoted feature. Whether sleeping or using in an office etc. that’s not an outcome I want at any price. Traditional upright oscillating fans are superior to this model.
