I wouldn't say you can't hear it, but of you are a heavy sleeper this will work. The temperature reading is great and the display is not too bright to keep you up but bright enough to read. Overall this gets the job done and the remote is very responsive.

This fan is our solution! It has different settings for noise control. The feature we love best is the 'power cool' button. You can set the temp and stay nice and cool all night long!
