    Honeywell Heater

I personally own 2 of these. Yes, I noticed the "flaw" that the other user pointed out, however, that is an unfair review because NO WHERE in the user manual does it say it will turn itself back on after say, a power outage. Therefore, it is unfair, and flawed to call it a design flaw. I supplement it with a radiant heater that is in the wall of our bathroom, and this unit model shown with the arched three buttons far surpasses the other more recent Honeywell design as far as clarity of use with its settings for the product. I did have to replace only one of my two heaters because for some reason the tip over feature mentioned in the user manual failed. However, that was mainly due to user error in the fact that I had a broken backpack that accidentally flailed it to the floor, because I had only one strap functioning on the thing that carries over 30 lbs. in American weight and it happened as I was coming in the front door as this is where one of the heaters is placed. This particular shown unit, has three different levels of heat. One uses 600 watts, two bars uses 900 watts, and three bars uses 1500 watts per hour respectively. It also contains a timer as a option (though I have yet to see need for this feature), and then it also helps you to know for a fact what temperature its set on. I find it less confusing than most of the models that I find in my local store by honeywell. While I have seen it be a little low, a bit of preplanning is necessary with this product. For my house, I have found I have to know the next days' temperature. Knowing the next days temperature helps me to know how to plan what level of heat I need to put it on. I would choose these units over even ONE of my 3800 watt window units any day of winter, though I do this because of the high priced electrical cooperative I belong to. I know that it can sometimes for me being a woman get so hot it can try to force you out of the house on a high setting with two of them. I would rather this than freezing to death, as I can just as easily turn down the heat or turn it off to help with adjusting temperature. Overall, these are good heaters for 0-60F or 70F degrees outside for inside use depending on how cold or warm natured you are. Further, I must state I am not qualified to give a review for below 0 degree temperatures and technically not below 7 degrees since that is likely the coldest it has been that I have had these heaters. I found them superb to even use with an electric blanket as supplementation when the bill tries to go too sky high, and I have to lower the heat on these units.

True Bargain. 1500 watts of heat for $30.

Don't be discouraged by cosmetic damage. The first refurbished units shipped to me had chipped paint and bent fins on two or more corners. I had to place wheels inward because the outside fins were crushed in so bad. The damage was purely cosmetic and somewhat of a testiment to the durability of these units. Each unit functioned perfectly. At $30 a piece you can't find a better bargain anywhere for this type of unit. This type of item was never meant for fasion, chances are if you're the type to buy a radiator, you really don't care about dents or chipped paint, so if you are in the market for a nice 1500 watt heater with minimal fire risk that'll last for decades, then buy it.

Warning: Does not recover from power loss/flicker

The unit will not save settings or even power itself back on after a power loss or flicker.  The user must be present and aware of the problem to correct it manually, or this unit will stay powered off when power is restored.  Consider the results of that.  I consider this a very serious design flaw.
