Steps Needed To Shut Down Air Purifier

Bought in August 2020 due to wildfires in the area. The machine works as described. One thing that I find bothersome: I press down once near the word POWER (located on the top of the machine). The machine begins filtering on GERM (lowest setting). I then must press down once again to begin filtering on GENERAL CLEAN (medium setting) and then I must press down once again to begin filtering on ALLERGEN (highest setting). In order to turn OFF the machine, I must press down on each cycle. Would prefer an ON-OFF button for each cycle.

After doing some research, this model was highly rated on a number of reputable sites. I'm happy with the performance so far. I had the older Honeywell purifier for many years and the new purifier seems more powerful. Time will tell if it does the job as the reviews stated. I've only had it running for a few weeks.
