Poor dirt canister design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The vacuum does a good job picking up dirt however it is a pain to empty the canister. Dog hair tends to stay stuck in the canister upon emptying which requires sticking one's hand in to remove contents. The canister is emptied regularly and before it is full and still it is troublesome. I feel I should shower after vacuuming. Not a good design in my opinion.

Posted .Hi Microx10! There is a fill line on the side of the canister, that if it is filled beyond that point, it may be harder to empty out your dirt cup. Hope this helps! -Michael, Hoover Customer Care

Worked well for light duty.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a great vacuum for about 10 months. Then it would overheat after 10 mins of use and shut off. It became uncomfortably noisy. Lost all suction. I have contacted Hoover in regards to the warranty but have not yet heard back. Good luck if you purchase this.

Posted .Hi DeniseA! If the vacuum started shutting off then lost all suction I have am idea of what exactly happened. Your WindTunnel 2 has a clog and/or dirty filters. When there is a dirty filter or clog, it blocks the air path which causes the motor to work twice as hard to do it's job. It will cause the unit to make a loud noise and not pick up. Here are a few tips I find very helpful. Remove both ends of the hose off the vacuum. Run a broomstick handle through hose to remove any clogs. Remove the primary filter located in the dirt cup lid, rinse under warm running water. Let filter air dry for 24 hrs. Make sure the brushes are spinning as well. Hope this helps!

Terrible vacuum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this vacuum perhaps six months and already it needs repairs. The motor runs for about only 10 minutes, gets extremely hot, and then the vacuum just quits. Don't waste your money on this vacuum. This is my second Hoover in about 2 1/2 years. I'm done with Hoover. Very poor quality!

Posted .Hi journeyman100! If your cleaner is shutting off, there may be a possible clog or dirty filter your not aware of. Remove dirt cup. Open dirt cup lid by pushing up on the lip underneath the Hoover emblem. Inside you will find a foam filter. If dirty rinse under warm running water and let air dry for 24 hrs. Remove both ends of the hose, run a broomstick handle through the hose to knock out any possible clogs. Hope this helps!

The worst vacuum cleaner I ever had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this vacuum cleaner just 5 months ago. I used it just once a week to vacuum my small apartment . The brush stopped turning. I figured to give a call the Hoover customer service to discuss their 2 years warranty. Guess what they carried less that their product is a garbage . They don't fix it!!! Don't waist your money. I should've gotten the shark vacuum as my sister suggested. I guess I have to through this one away and get the sharks vacuum. I would put 0 stars for this vacuum if I could.

Posted .Hi Nick1123, have you checked your belt? It may be stretched or broken. This can cause the brushroll to stop spinning on this model. If the belt is broken and you still need help after checking, email me at [email protected]. We'll make this right.
