The suction is great on both carpet and wood floors/tile.

Picks up dirt, grass and mud with ease and retractable power cord is wonderful. Wish the cord was a little longer. But it's not a deal breaker by any means

The only negative thing to report is the frequency of having to dump the tangled mess of the hair by hand because its gets jammed up tightly in the unit.

Posted .Hi gabear464! To eliminate the hassle and dirty chore of having to empty the dirt cup by hand, we recommend emptying the canister after each use. Hope this helps!

Great to be the first time with carpet

I usually use it on carpet and with the floor.The only thing that I don't like is that you have to carry the electric cordon while you're cleaning, otherwise is perfect.
