Posted .Hi pain! If you're having issues with the dirt canister sealing, it maybe indicative of incorrect placement or assembly. When assembling the canister and filter cyclone back together, place the filter cyclone assembly inside of the dirt cup, making sure you're aligning 3 tabs on the filter cyclone assembly with the 3 tabs on the dirt cup. Then, twist it clockwise to secure it into position. After doing these steps, no air should be able to escape and you'll be good to go! I got this hoover and it cleaned the floor quickly and easily. Admittedly I haven't had it for more than a few months, so I don't know if it'll last for year to come; however it's lasted longer than my $30 bissel from Wal-mart ;) The only thing I would watch on it is the dust bin. If you have a lot of fuzz coming out of your carpet it will be hesitant to fall out when emptying the bin. All you have to do is pull it out by hand. Not hard to do, just use your hand, no special tools required :D
