Whoever is responsible for this product should be ashamed of themselves. This is an example of the bare minimum -- the roller brush does not have an "off". so if you use the hose feature, you have to make sure the vacuum is not destroying the carpet. It is so obvious this is the cheapest way they could make this vacuum -- even the on/off switch is located on the main body section, not hear the handle. We are going to return ours.

I bought this vac for our 2nd home. Not a rental and used maybe 50 nights a year so light duty for a vac. The suction was not as good as the very old vac we replaced and the cord is quite short. Ended up getting a Shark to replace this which works fine...

I am not sure if it a design flaw or a bad belt, but I had to put the belt back on 7 times in 3 weeks of using this vacuum. The vacuum was great at picking up dirt, but Hoover needs to work on the belt issue. Looking into this model more, I found many other people had the same issues with the belt.

This vacuum is great. Easy to assemble. I love the retractable cord. The suction is great considering the price. I like the smaller head for getting it into hard places. It is easy to clean up after each vacuum and no more dusty bags. The best part is the attachments. The one is great for vacuuming steps with the action head. Overall happy with this purchase

This is the second one of these I have bought. The first one was wonderful, just wore out. This one did not work the first time out of the box. Working with Hoover has been a nightmare. I have now taken it to a service center and they too say Hoover is tough to deal with. Don't buy this!

It's an OK vacuum but doesn't suck up the dirt that good

This thing is a joke. I bought it for a cabin we only frequent a couple times a year. Maybe used it a dozen times and it overheats after 5 minutes and then is unusable for about an hour. Then you can use it for another 5 minutes before it overheats again

We've had this vacuum for few months now, and it has been nothing short of great. This Hoover replaced a four year old Oreck that was in poor shape at the end of it's short life. The suction and cleaning power of this Hoover was amazing in comparison to the Oreck. The first time we used this vacuum it sucked an inordinate amount of fuzz, dirt, and other unspeakable horrors from our (what we thought was) well maintained five year old carpet. We don't have any pets, nor do we wear shoes in our house, but the amount of stuff that this Hoover removed was simply amazing. We thought the Oreck worked well until we saw both what it had left behind along with what the Hoover removed in it's first use. The Oreck was $400 new, and this Hoover was purchased on sale at $99.99. The washable hepa filter is a nice feature, as is the auto-retracting cord. Speaking of the cord - this is my only minor gripe with this vacuum - it's about ten feet shorter than what we were used to on the old Oreck, but I can still use the same outlets as before without issue. As stated, this is just a minor thing and not a deal breaker by any means. We also like the bagless setup for it's ease of use as well as the lack of need to purchase bags. I've had to clean some hair caught on the carpet brush, but due to the shape it's fairly easy to clean without any disassembly. It is quite heavy when compared to our old Oreck, but we don't have stairs to lug it up, so this really is a non issue. We like the attachment hose and accessories as they help clean the furniture surfaces and random kid messes with ease. We highly recommend this vacuum. If you're looking at an Oreck or comparable vacuum, please consider this one first.

It has a hardwood floor setting but it doesn't do a bit of good. Instead of sucking up the dirt and debris, it just kicks it backwards. Wish I had returned it when I had the chance.

When initially purchased the Hoover was weak with respect to how it work, and after six months it did not work at all. Very, very poor product and disappointing given a Hoover.

The first time it worked great, the second time the suction was noticeably less, the third time it broke in the middle of vacuuming the floor. No action now when plugged in and turned on.

This item is junk. Does not keep dust compartmentalized, instead it flies everywhere and parts your supposed to be able to pull apart to clean, CAN'T!

Bought this vacuum over the Dyson set vacuums, was so hooked onto Dyson and its technology I almost didn't buy this vacuum. Turned out the choice of buying this Hoover vacuum was one I will never regret. It is so easy to set up out the box and it works miracles from the moment I turned it on. It sucked up every single hair, crumb, dust and grey particles you can't even see with your eyes. My carpet turned from a hard compact carpet to a very loose and clean feeling carpet. I also slept in my room much better as I didn't wake up sneezing or coughing as much as I normally do. I was so amazed at the power of the vacuum, I even did a couple of rooms twice to see if I would still suck up something and it didn't pick up anything again, it works excellent vacuuming the room or area just once. The attachments work miracles as well and are just as good as using the vacuuming normally. This totally changes my outlook on Hoover and I was super satisfied and very impressed. This one is a keeper.

This vaccum is worst thing ever. When I plugged to make vaccum won’t turn on..

feels very cheap and about to break. weak plastic. could have saved money buying from walmart

Ran good for three weeks then broke down unable to use it since just put it in a corner and said f*** it

I would not recommend this product it doesn't pick up like it should

Sucks up and spits out. Definitely returning. Read reviews prior and gave it a try, but

bad, heat up quickly and then turn off, can never finish two rooms at one time.
