The suction is very strong but hard to adjust since the only control is a dial for 4 levels of carpeting on the main motor head. The vacuum is large, clunky and very heavy, making it hard to maneuver. It's also extremely noisy, much moreso than you'd expect in a modern vacuum, There's virtually no "dusting" function. The bendable dusting brush is a great idea, especially when the picture on the box shows someone dusting ceiling fan blades with it, but the attachment itself is a large triangle with stiff synthetic bristles around the outer edge and a large open space in the middle with no detectable suction coming through. When the attachment is connected to the extended wand, the pivot joint can't maintain its angle but flattens if you try to reposition the brush or put any pressure on it. It can't be used as a plain dusting brush on any length wand because the bristles are too stiff to pick anything up. The small "turbo" attachment is good on upholstery but otherwise useless. On the plus side, the vacuum has a large, clear, easy-to-empty dust receptacle, a HEPA filter and the one really great feature that was the chief reason I bought it -- a cord rewind button. That does work, and works well, but it also makes the happiest moments with this vacuum turning it off and putting it away. So overall, it's very good on basic carpet cleaning, at least on low-to-medium pile carpets, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything else and am already thinking about replacing it.
