I needed a good not to cheap but yet to expensive vacuum I read the reviews online they all seem positive I took my chance and I am very satisfied I did not like that it's a little bulky but the performance it's there I been having a it for about 3 Month and the suction is still Strong very satisfied with it don't let the ugly style fool you performance and power has it all

This is basically a vacuum from 2005 that has managed to survive. The only reason why I bought this is for the height adjustment feature (high carpet vs low carpet) that most newer vacuums don’t have. Apparently my new plush carpet can only be vacuumed by these old vacuums that have less suction due to the height adjustment. This thing is heavy and bulky. Best feature is the retractable cord.

no complains so far. i just use it 3 times so far and it sucks dirt really for both carpet and bare floor

I got this vacuum because my other (older) bag vacuum and Shop Vac just couldn't handle the hair from my golden retriever. When it arrived it took just a few minutes to put together and then I was off to the races. In the first day I had this item I used every feature and am very impressed. It cleaned my carpets to the point of them looking better than they have in years - with the added benefit of it not throwing dust/dirt while it cleaned. Using the hard floor setting it sucked up fur and fallen foxtails with ease and if I encountered something that just didn't want to be sucked, the ability to temporally put the brush roller down took care of it. The fan cleaning attachment worked well and the pet hair attachment made my couch look like new. The only improvement I'd like is if the extension function was a bit more firm when locked into place. My home feels cleaner than it has been since I got my pup 2 years ago. I would absolutely recommend this vacuum for anyone with pets that shed, even long hair dual coat animals! Great value for the cost.

This sweeper is very light weight and easy to use. Changing from one floor type to another is quick to do and with the turn dial locking into place is really nice.

This vacuum works great for my carpet with a low pile. The hose is also excellent for getting up the dust that collects along the baseboards. I like the self retracting cord as well. The container is always full, even when the carpet looks clean, so I know it's getting the deep down dirt.

My mom loves this vacuum. It's stylish, easy to operate and stow away. AT first I thought it was a bad vacuum because it wouldn't suck up dirt until I turned the the level of it up and that's when things started to get me excited. Watching all of the dirt getting sucked up in therapeutic. This vacuum will leave you satisfied until the next.

It does a good job for the price. After using it I felt like the carpets were very clean. Good suction power. Only thing I am not a fan of is the weight of it, other than that I am satisfied. It does the job

Works great on all kinds of floors and carpets. Attachments work well and can reach further than vacuums I used in past. Cord auto wind is a nice extra feature.

Works great but carpet level knob was not easy to adjust. I had to call Hoover customer service and found out if I let handle down toward the floor then I could turn the knob to adjust the height of carpet level which is a little weird. Another minor issue to me is power button is at lower position of back handle, which is not reachable by finger when vacuum. So during vacuuming, when run into obstacle ahead of vacuum, it's not convenient to turn power switch off and back on, which I usually do this quite often. So it become quite inconvenient. Consider the vacuum itself works great and for the above reasons, I down grade one star.

This vacuum is great , easy to use and clean . I like the way its clean the rug and pick up a lot of dirt that you never imagine was there. My wife love it too.

Quality is good. Good suction power. The rewind system for the wire is really handy. But, cannot collect all the hairs from the carpet. Sometimes, need to manually clean the hairs after vacuuming.

I love the fact that it smelled brand-new when I first used it and the second time that I used it as well. It's very easy to operate and I love the long cord.

I was able to buy this vacuum for a little over $100. It vacuums very well and has a long enough hose for our stairs. It loses a star on maneuverability and in just how heavy it actually is compared to other vacuums out now. If you don't mind the weight, then I don't think you can do better!

A good versatle machine with great suction. Found the attachments were easy to use. The brush has a 90 degree feature. The triangle brush gets into tight areas as well as making overhead fan cleaning easy without needing a step ladder. The brush attachment also works well with baseboard heaters. Surprised to learn it's made for Hoover by Dirt Devil.

I bought this vacuum for it's low weight so I can carry it upstairs. I love the automatic cord retraction and the way it cleans. The price was excellent too.

The vacuum has good suction and works well. I would not, however, recommend it for someone who isn't in relatively good shape, because it is heavy and requires more strength to move it than previous vacuums I have used.
