This is a good adaptation of a fantastic book. Though slightly different it manages to stay true to the spirit of the story.

This is one of those movies that can't decide what kind of movie it wants to be. One minute it's murder mystery, than a horror, than a touching coming of age tale, the tone is all over the place and creates for a very erratic viewing experience. Which is a shame, because Daniel Radcliffe delivers a powerhouse performance here that is wasted on such an uneven story.

The movie is good if not great but the disc is almost reference quality in terms of video and audio.
