hoped the movie had been more from a native perspective as i am a fan of studi and beach. intense and human story line.

I thought this movie was a little long. It could have ended earlier. It was an ok movie. Thr actors did a great job.

Not sure how I missed this in the theaters. Nowadays, westerns are pretty much overlooked by the general public. Guess we're too enamored with our super heroes. This western is more about survival and Bale and Pike are excellent at portraying a time where life wasn't as easy as taking selfies and drinking boba.

This story shown during a time where everyday in the west could be your last, shows how time can change even enemies perspectives of one another. It shows the possibility of redemption between enemies that would never have thought of such a scenario years ago

the cast is great! the beginning of the movie is a bit hard to watch since it has something that involved little kids movie is great! its just about bale getting a prisoner to his hometown. point A to point B. simple, but of coarse there is trouble i the way

The movie was so slow. The acting was very good but the pace of the movie just dragged.

Really excellent Western with incredible performances from Christian Bale and everyone else in the cast. One of my favorite films of the past decade. The 4K UHD and 1080 Blu-ray are both reference quality in picture and sound. Highly recommended.

I picked up this movie during the black Friday sales for $7.99. It didn't look particularly interesting, but for $7.99 and with Christian Bale, how bad could it be? A period piece involving native Americans and US forces in the later 1800s. A very good story with strong acting. Definitely a film worth watching.

This was a weird movie. I didn't get it. I hated the end. It was long torture watching it.

This is a movie that holds the audience’s attention throughout. The acting by the chief actors was very well done. With his past roles as a fierce fighter and rebel, Wes Studi is in a very different character here. The writers did a superb job with the script and the storyline for this project, leading up to a surprising conclusion.

I wasn’t to pleased with this movie. The previews was the whole movie for me.

Christian Bale is a soldier ready to retire when he is ordered to accompany a dying Indian to his homeland. This western is pretty good, under the radar as I never saw its release. The audio could be improved as the actors seem to mumble a lot, had to use the subtitles. The plot is different but predictable as it plods along.

Hostiles is a quite interesting western that convinces with stunning landscapes, intriguing characters and strong acting performances. This movie is a drama above all, situated in a historically intriguing period between the American Civil War and the emergency of the Industrial Revolution.

The 3 main characters in this film, Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, and Wes Studi, acquitted themselves very well. Bale gave his typically understated, but powerful, performance; Pike was excellent in her role as the strong female lead; and Studi was a model of native American authenticity. You should see this movie.

The plot takes quire a bit of time to develop but depicts the history of Native American treatment by the US government fairly accurately. The screenplay could have been abbreviated with the same impact and the movie would have been even more enjoyable.

If you like westerns then you should like this. It wasn't as bloody or gory as I thought it might be, (being a new and R rated western like most new ones seem to go for) which is fine with me. It kept a good pace just when it started to slow down something happened that picked the pace up. Good story and good movie.

This shows what war did to soldiers but showed how the US Government misused the Native American and warriors became friends. The scenery was as though I was taking the trips into the Mountain ranges tracing the Native Americans lands that were stolen by greed.

This is a good one. Slow but worth seeing. Don't watch late at night...ha!

This intense movie is just another example of how versatile an actor Christian Bale is. Coming out of the Civil War, Bale's character escorts a widow through the western frontier. Intense and heart felt, this movie is very entertaining, a must see.
