This movie doesn't tread any ground that hasn't been tread before by better directors and with better performances. If you're into White Savior flicks you'll probably like this one, but this is just another paint-by-the-numbers drama that doesn't do enough to separate itself from other genre entries.

Opening scenes are kind of brutal and not often seen in film. Overall, it's entertaining with some decent action and drama, but it kind of drags on. There were a few points near the end of the film where you think it's going to end, only to continue.

Westerns used to be all the rage and now they are too often very few and too much time passes before another is released. This one shines with a great cast, majestic views and story that should make someone question what is right and wrong.

A great Western movie for all fans that love Cowboys and Indians. Great story line where actors Christian Bale and Wes Studi embark on a journey. Hatred for each other slowly turn into respect.

I specifically did not read or learn about this movie because I wanted no preconceived notions before watching it. While it doesn't have a lot of script, the characters speak volumes with their actions, reactions and interactions. Very well done!

I never thought about PTSD when thinking about the Wild, Wild West days, but this movie will make you think about it. I do not recommend this movie for family movie night, but I do recommend it for adults.

This was a great redemption story and told with great actors/actresses. Rosamund Pike was awesome and Christian Bale played another epic character. Writing was great and actors were perfect.

This is a movie I watched in a local theatre and loved the movie. I noticed it is available in blue ray thus I purchased a few days ago. The plot is excellent and the acting is fantastic.

Too bad we do not have more films for the children of today to see what we were like. This film showed that we had compassion and not just hate, that our hearts were not cold because of a few hostile acts. Kindness breeds kindness.

This movie was entertaining and very enjoyable to watch, I would totally recommend this to family and friends… Movie had a good story line/plot pretty good acting and again pretty enjoyable… If you’re a fan its a must watch.

Not your typical cowboy movie, but still with plenty of shooting and a nuanced plot. The Indians needed to be given larger roles, and the pale-faced ones less so. But it was a good movie to watch over the year-end holidays.

Now this is a movie that will have you taking in every word, nuance of the actors expressions and feelings portrayed on the screen. Its a heart wrenching drama with a iron punch to the stomach and psyche. Worth every penny

i hadnt heard much about this movie but it was good.

Cooper is an actor’s director and he brings his skills to the western genre in this film. It is a sober testament of the past while an allegory of the present. Fine performances and cinematography fill out a story about finding common ground, mutual acceptance, and forgiveness.

This film was very good and I don't think it received the praise it deserves. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, acting and cinematography. It draws you in and keeps you engaged the whole time.

One of Christian’s most underrated performances!!!

A heart breaker from the start with Rosamund Pike giving the performance of her career, not to mention the roll Christian Bale was born to play. So far I have seen it twice and already looking forward to see it again.

Not as good as We expected. Worth only one viewing

I have never seen a western this honest in regards to Native Americans, how they were viewed, and how they were treated. The acting was spot on and visuals were excellent in 4k. To me this ranks as high as Unforgiven.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a great cowboy film. This film is has everything. Great acting. If your a fan of the old west this film is a must see and buy and great addition to your collection of westerns.
