A really good movie that looks great in 4k. Good story and good acting

I thought this movie was a great adventure across the open plains.

Good movie,but more emotional that action packed. Good story tho.

I loved the production and acting; Christian Bale pulled off the part perfectly...and they left most if not all of their peculiar political views out of most of it while capturing many real sentiments of the time. Wes Studi made the whole storyline real and with feeling. Years ago a dear friend of mine, Chief Eddie Little Sky, deceased, of the Lakota Nation, set out to become a 'real' Indian actor in a business that in the 50's was just as glad to use Pacific Islanders instead for the parts in such films as this. Wes Studi has accomplished what my old friend could not; recognition and an actual livelihood from the Motion Picture Industry!

Movie was good, a bit slow but got better towards the end.

I originally saw this in a theater and was mesmerized. The story was very good, the ACTING was stellar, the locations were gorgeous, and everything else really 'worked' for me. Christian Bale was as good as I have ever seen him.....he was awesome, sctually, The director spent time to develope the characters and the plot, which really made this flick amazing. Anyway, I did buy the Blu-Ray and watched it again right away, Still amazing. 'Unforgiven' is my favorite western but 'Hostiles' is not too far away.

The movie was good. Enjoyed the action in the movie.

GOOD MOVIE AND A GOOD PRICE. GOOD TO WATCH AT HOME

I was skeptical going into this movie since I wasn't too impressed with the previews. It looked like a slow moving old school western, but it turned out to be a fantastic movie. I would even rate it as one of the best westerns ever made. It is gritty and realistic. The acting is superb and script is very well written. There's a lot of humanity and heart in this film and it draws you into viewpoints of each character. The cinematography is outstanding as well. The story flows well and keeps you glued to the screen from beginning to end. You won't be disappointed for a second.

Hostiles is a gorgeous film. The visuals of sweeping American landscapes is breathtaking and pulls the viewer into late 1800's America. Each of the three main characters is well developed and each has experienced the results of war to one degree or another. Christian Bale delivers another richly layered character who appears to be beyond redemption and simply broken, but there may be a glimmer of hope. Fans of Westerns and those that enjoy mysterious, but sympathetic characters should add Hostiles to their collection.
