Great scooter at a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an employee of Best Buy and had the opportunity to use the Hover-1 Gambit Electric Scooter. At a $249.99 or lower price point this is very nice scooter. The scooter has many of the same functions as higher price point scooters such as a display screen showing battery life & speed, a foldable neck for easy transportation and electric break and throttle. Acceleration on this scooter is also a nice feature. Another thing I like about this scooter is how the handlebars curve out at the top of the neck. This really provides a stable ride by getting the riders arms a little further away from their body. In other models I have sampled that do not curve out I feel like my arms are too close to my body and that I do not feel as comfortable. The only call to attention I have for this scooter is the speed on an incline. I am about 195lbs and when going up hills I have to kick a little bit to help the motor. I have seen lighter riders on this unit who do not experience this issue as much though. If you have a child who is looking for a new electric scooter this would be an excellent gift idea for the holiday!

Don’t do it

It’s now mid May and won’t charge anymore, throttle button has broke off, kickstand fell off, and back tire is wobbling. It’s been ridden on paved streets and taken care of. It’s just poorly made and I should’ve realized that with the cheap price tag.

Then the charger would say it was charged and it wouldn’t turn on. Got a replacement and the 2nd one did the same thing after 4-5 months and it’s now out of warranty. Customer service was of no help on how to possibly fix it. Will never buy this brand again. Saw this complaint multiple times when I was trying to research ways to fix it.

Worked great until 2 weeks ago. Now it doesn't turn on at all, despite the green charge indicator light. Troubleshooting doesn't help. Disappointed, since it wasnt cheap
