Good movie overall, fun to watch, the kids loved it

Love this franchise! One of DreamWorks strong films

The quality of the 3D in this release is outstanding - some of the best 3D available. The animation itself is gorgeous, and it's a fun, clean film for the whole family to enjoy. Dreamworks has really knocked it out of the park concerning this franchise, and this film is a fine addition. I'm very glad they decided to include the separate 2D disc which contains the film's bonus features (as the 3D disc contains only the film).

How To Train Your Dragon 2 is that rare commodity - a sequel that surpasses its predecessor, and the first film was pretty good itself. This movie is built around a more grown-up story than the first, which is appropriate as its cast of young characters grow into adulthood, facing challenges that would strike fear into the hearts of the most courageous Vikings. The human-dragon collaboration builds from friendship into life-depending trust, with humor to keep things light. Don't miss this movie!

Great movie and would recommend to a friend, very funny

Great addition for my baby girls movie collection.

Watched this move in hopes that it would fill in the question on how to train a dragon but just like the first it never tell you. It’s all about friendship and sticking together to overcome hardships. It has action and drama. It’s really well written and you care about the characters. But like i said they never tell you how to train a dragon let alone catch one. I’m starting to think i will bever get my own dragon.

I only caught bits and pieces of the first one, but had heard good things about this second part of the story. It did not disappoint, a wonderfully animated movie, with a good story line for the kids, and we adults. I had rented this in 3D, but when I saw it on sale, figured I better get it in my collection of Blurays. This is a very good movie to begin with, but it was absolutely amazing in 3D. Fun to watch, looking forward to having the grand kids watch it again with us...

Dragons 2 is a good sequel lots of fun for all ages.

My dragon buddies [Build-A-Bear dragons] constantly demand to watch this movie. Great for kids of any age. Good to see that dragons are not always monsters. Hiccup is a great role model for people of any age, and dragons as well. The take away from this movie for us is that there are BAD people, and they will not change no matter how you try to reason with them. Some hurts cannot be made better or forgotten by some people, and they will always lash out.

was bugged to the point of being forced to go see this movie in theaters when it first came out by my kids, we have all the different How to Train Your Dragon movies as well and have to say this was my favorite of them all. it continued onto the original story without having to stretch to complete a sequel and still had some of the more adult jokes that your kids look at you funny when you laugh and they don't understand why but without being to inappropriate for a kids movie.

Our 6 year old & 4 year old absolutely love How to Train Your Dragon series. This was another must have movie for both Blu-ray and digital. Of course are kids call the movie toothless 2 haha! As an adult, I feel like this is one of the good movies that a child can watch and doesn't teach them something that we disagree with.

My wife and I are somewhat animated movie connoisseurs at this point with 2 boys aged 4 and 6. I think we've got pretty much every family animation made in the last 10 years (even pre-kids!) and this one stacks up there. Always dubious when a sequel comes out but this one starts on a par with the original and kicks it up s notch with a slightly darker plot that tugs at the heartstrings while staying action packed and hilariously funny in all the right places.

fantastic animation and a better than average story make this movie well worth buying. The 3-D is an added bonus. All the original characters return just as they were at the end of the first film, and the voices are the same. This is one of the best sequels ever....arguably better than the original, tho I would say they are equal. Drama, humor, emotion and great adventure...a terrific story for the whole family. Can't wait for " Dragon 3"!!! Please!

Dragons 2 is an excellent film! We loved the first movie and looked forward to the second. As a co-worker said, it's just as good, if not better, than the first. The character development and relationships were excellent, balancing drama and adventure with humor that both kids and adults can enjoy. The animation is top-notch. The quality of the Blu-Ray is very good, and while we haven't seen all the special features, they are better than average.

So I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She loved the first one and I figured this was a gimme. We sat and watched it day after Christmas and we all had fun. There were a couple of plot holes that I would have liked explained, but that's just how I am. It's a good movie about family dynamics and coming of age. I wasn't particularly interested in watching it when I heard about it. However, having seen it now, I would watch it again. The special features had some nice things. Blu-Ray had the bonus episode that gives you a little history on the dragon races they run. Then there are neat little presentations on the different types of dragons, weapons and inventions used in the movie. So if you have a kid that likes to collect cards and get all the stats on things they're sure to enjoy this.

It's rare that a second installment is better then the original, but How to Train Your Dragon 2 does just that. Whether your an adult or child it's a great movie for all ages. If you haven't seen this movie in the theaters, but you own How to Train Your Dragon. Trust me buy this one and add it to your collection. The graphics are absolutely fantastic......the story line, is incredible. Like I said it's a must have for anyone's collection.

I had to upgrade my DVD to Blu-ray for my extensive movie collection! This animated movie is fun for the entire family, great sequel! Picture quality is great in HD along with the 7.1 DTS true Hd audio sound! Included is the DVD and Digital HD (valid thru 10-02-19)! Lots out extra's including deleted and behind the scenes! Highly recommended! Purchased this 2 disc set from BB for under $8.00, great price!

Purchased a 65" Samsung TV and watched this movie with my two daughters. Absolutely loved the movie and my 12 year old sat through it after seeing it in theaters. My 3 year old wasn't as excited about watching it in 3D, but with the DVD, digital and regular Blu-Ray, she's been able to watch the movie multiple times - whether that be in the car, when we flew on an airplane, or in her room! Great value buy with all the versions!

I loved the 1st movie - "How to Slay Your Dragon" and so was hoping to find this sequel to be good too. So many do not measure up to the original movie. However, I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed this movie as well. Again, it was well done with a great theme of moral encouragement to young people and old alike. So I give this movie a thumbs -up just as I did the original.
