The first of a strong franchise

Love this Movie!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so glad when I saw a new, special edition DVD + blu-ray on Best Buy's pre-order list. I never got the original DVD + blu-ray pack when it came out in 2010 or 2011. This movie is a great ride for kids and adults alike. The movie does differ quite vastly from Cressida Cowell's first book in the "How to Train Your Dragon" series, though. However, all of the changes that were made for the movie worked extremely well. So, if you're a fan of the books, at least give the movie a try. The cast is great. Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, and the rest of the cast is perfect! The story is quite moving. It's about people simply learning to accept each other as they are; strengths come in all different formats. The score by John Powell is fantastic as well. If you enjoy this movie, I also highly recommend the wonderful series that followed this movie, Dragons: Riders (and now, Defenders) of Berk. Highly recommended.
