The first ever Marvel character to get a feature and George Lucas is the executive producer! What could possibly go wrong? Well…about that… Seriously, though, you either love this movie for what it is or you don’t. This movie has always had a special place in my heart, and I’m happy to finally have it in my movie collection. The good news is that this version of the movie looks and sounds as good as you would expect from a 4K release. Other than that, it’s still the same goofy movie that released in 1986, for better or for worse.

this movie was such a big part of my childhood. when I saw it in the bargain bin..I didnt even hesitate. howard the duck is nonstop fun, laughs and comedic moments. not many people know this, but howard the duck...is part of the marvel cinematic universe and a very worthwhile movie to pick up and add to the collection.

Either you like the movie or you don't. I happen to love it, having grown up watching on VHS with my family. Wild to see it in 4K now. Looks like a new movie in most scenes. Beautiful steelbook received in perfect condition.

Bought this for my oldest son, who's an adult now; it was one of his favorite movies as a teen. He was absolutely thrilled with excitement and had his son watch it with him. Both enjoyed watching it together. Now he's shred it with his nieces who have asked to watch it again!! Great for a rainy day or just some downtime.

Even though this Movie has been given a bad rep. it is still a good Cult Classic.. The 4K version makes it even better , and it is worth watching.. also if you are a George lucas fan then its worth checking out.

We first enjoyed this crazy funny movie with our daughter in the 80's then with our son in the 90's and now with our granddaughter in 2021. Thank you Best Buy for always having such Great Old Classic Movies in stock.

Depending on mood, this is going to fall into either 'so bad it's good' (probably the #1 review for this movie) or otherwise, 'so bad, it's just bad'. Acceptable release for nostalgic purposes and a few old extras to boot. I'd recommend, but only to those I knew who might appreciate it.

This movie got savaged by critics and audiences, but I loved Howard The Duck. Tim Robbins was goofy but fun to watch and Lea Thompson was never cuter!

Shunned by critics and adored by people who have a respect for honest-to-goodness cheesy films, Howard the Duck is simply fantastic. It is an amazing piece of cinema, truly embracing its awfulness and bad puns to the fullest, and rising up through the muck to shine in its fabulousness. Get this movie. Now.

...and still better than Daredevil. After his cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy I had to hunt down this classic Marvel movie. Not counting the failed Captian America movies from the 70's, this was the first real Marvel movie, and still one of the best. Funny and witty, great movie.

It has to say something about the UHD format's viability and popularity when a stinker, albeit a cult classic stinker, makes its way to the premium format. Regardless of what one might think of the film, Universal's UHD should earn, well, universal acclaim. The picture is filmic and handsome and the new DTS:X soundtrack suits the movie well. No new extras are included but at least all of the legacy supplements are here, and on the UHD disc at that. Recommended, and packaging collectors can opt for the attractive SteelBook variant.

I've seen Howard the duck many times and it never gets old, great 80's classic that will entertain from start to finish, plus the steelbook is a plus since I like to add them to my collection.

This title has always been a childhood favorite. Movie is just as impressive as it was back in the day. The special effects of this film were way ahead of its game considering it came out in the 80's.

It's really a mystery as to how the minds, such as George Lucas, somehow thought this film would appeal to the masses. Loaded with weird "adult" content and a kids comic feel, this one if fun for being so, well, strange. Fun for fans of 80's cult films.

Howard the Duck is one of those films you either love or hate. As a child of the 80's, I grew up on this classic and love it dearly. So needless to say, I am pleased it finally hit Blu. The transfer is great, and the film still has the charm that made me fall in love with it decades ago.
