Wonderful film! A treasure to share with my kid. We watched this over and over again. Best Buy needs to figure out how to care of Steelbook shipping...The box came a bit dented but no big deal.

Romantic, thrilling, scary, action-packed. This film has a lot going on and it’s beautiful animation looks great in HD. Must own for anime and fantasy fans or any completist who needs this is their Ghibli/Miyazaki collection.

If you are a fan of of Hayao Miyazaki's films, then you already have a sense of what this film has to offer. Like Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, and Ponyo, it involves a world in which magic abounds and offers astounding visuals. Personally, I favor those of his films where the magic is a bit more constrained. In this film, the powers of magic are let loose with little rhyme or reason. With that much unexplained magic, it becomes a little more difficult to follow the logic of the plot or the motivations of the characters. Magic, like science, is best when it conforms to rules that govern it. Here, those rules, to the extent they exist at all, are ill-defined. However, a Miyazaki film always delivers visually and creatively. So suspend your skeptical rationalism and enjoy the ride.

I already knew that the movie was amazing, and after seeing the design of the steelbook I knew I had to have it. However, it was a lot harder to find than I thought, and the staff at the Best Buy in Nashville I went to went above and beyond to track down the last copy for me

The story line and animation keeps your attention throughout the whole movie. There are two very different plots happening that come together wonderfully at the end. Great for adults and children. However may be a little scary in parts for smaller children. I loved this movie and enjoyed watching it with my teenager and discussing it afterwards.

I absolutely love Studio Ghibli movies. They are fantastic stories and ideas wrapped in wonderful soundtracks and amazing animation. This is one my favorite Studio Ghibli films. It is great in original audio with subtitles or Dubbed English audio. There is a wonderful soundtrack for this movie. This will get you hooked on other Studio Ghibli films.

If you've seen HMC on regular DVD or streaming, you'll love this Blu-Ray edition. I have been on the fence about getting BR versions of the Ghibli films until now. The BR version looks and sounds amazing, The movie is awesome too, if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.

A young woman is turned into an old woman by a jealous witch. She goes to the mountains to find the wizard who helped her once before. There, she finds Howl's moving castle. It takes place in the 1900s, this world is filled with mechanical devices. I was surprised at how much I really liked this movie. Generally anime is not my favorite thing to watch but this movie was almost perfect!

I have seen this movie countless times and it has never diminished in quality. Many people have said that Studio Ghibli is the Japanese counterpart to Disney but I would argue that Studio Ghibli is better. The physical condition of the disks was great and arrived on time.

Hard to rank this movie anything but a 5 out of 5 stars. Miyazaki is truly a master of his craft. A somewhat underrated film, in comparison to Spirited Away, which proceeded it. A true treat of animation and story telling. This is the one that got my wife hooked on anime.

You can never go wrong with a Hayao Miyazaki movie. He is able to breathe so much life into an animated movie. This movie is no exception. His ability to create great movies is exemplary. What a great addition to anyone's movie collection. One of my most watched movies of all time.

If you are a fan of the style and you have not seen this movie you owe it to yourself to do so. I recommend the purchase of this DVD/Blueray because the movie is so good you will want to own it. This studio has put out some of the best Anime to date.

Love Studio Ghibli and steelbooks so this was a no brainier for me. The steelbook continues the theme of past Studio Ghibli steelbooks which is good they simple but well done. Would recommend this to anime fans and steelbook collectors alike.

An amazing movie for anyone, wether yourself or your family, you'll find yourself on the edge of your seat and feeling so much for these characters, an amazing movie that has so much to offer with original and interesting ideas and design with amazing animation

Howl's Moving Castle has been a favorite of mine for well over a decade now. This film was the one which introduced me to the Studio Ghibli films. It has plenty of magical moments, and great visual effects, backed up by solid voice acting. Also, it looks amazing on BR. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

The first movie I saw by Hayao Miyazaki was .. Spirited Away... I was blown away by that movie. I've been purchasing other movies that he has made and none of his movies are bad. You can't help but feel good after this movie...your kids will love it........great song...great animation.....the story and characters are great

Miyazaki one of the greatest anime directors of our time started out on the Lupin franchise directed The Lupin feature castle of cagliostro his works are superb but I don't think I need to tell anyone that that is seen as works

Excellent movie made even better with Blu-ray. The Blu-ray enhancements really bring out the best in the movie and make the artwork that much crisper. I was pleasantly surprised by how much that can change a viewing experience and make the amazing worlds/stories Hayao Miyazaki creates that much more engrossing.

I saw this opening night here at the local Indie theater. Of all the films that Studio Ghibli has made, this is my favorite. The story and animation and voice acting is just perfect. This film always makes me smile every time I watch it. Its wondrous and magical.

This animated film is one not to be missed! It is a charming story with a crazy "alive" castle using both 3D and 2D techniques. The bonus feature which demonstrates how the film and castle were created is so informative! Anyone interested in animation NEEDS to see this!
