I purchased this filter to help protect my Camera Lens. A few sales associates told me this was a higher quality filter to still provide quality images. I am pleased as it also helps my lens to not fog up when going from indoors to outdoors for example. I often take portraits at the beach so I was also concerned with protection from sand and scratches.

I've always used UV filters on my lenses. Always. The peace of mind they provide, plus the ease of cleaning, makes them a required addition, along with a lens hood and padded pouch, to any lens I purchase. While I cannot say that this filter does anything other UV filters don't do, it certainly does work well and on the other hand, I have no reason to disbelieve the manufacturer's claims either.

I used his brand for all my lenses. They really hold up and they’re worth the extra money.

Used this filter on my 70-200mm L ii and it did a great job protecting the lens!

This is the best lens protection you can get! If you have an expensive lens, then cover the front element with this filter. Images do not get distorted at all with this Hoya product.

Good product to have to protect your expensive lens!

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to protect their lenses from scratches, dust etc. The quality is great and the images are not affected whatsoever.

Great quality filter. Protects my lens. Fights a 77mm

Although the debate of putting poor glass in front of an expensive lens has me worried. This UV filter seems to be good. I have another 77mm filter that yielded poor photos, but this one looks good. If you need the extra protection on your lens, this is a good choice.

Great UV filter with well made threading. I use this filter all the time to protect my 70-200 Canon lens from any possible scratches and to keep any dust off my lens’s very expensive glass. I also find the threading very well crafted so that I can quickly remove it for any photoshoots or whenever I decide to switch in a polarized filter and never have to worry about cross threading or any other thread damage to my lenses

absolutely a necessity for decent lenses. lenses and newborns have a tendency to fall from high places. this is decent insurance for your lens.

Great protection for my new 50 mm lens. It’s a super high quality cover for my lens.

Needed a new one. Somehow old one got cracked this summer. Didn't want that expensive lens to be without a filter over it.

All lens should be protected. These lens are not cheap and if I can protect it by using a cover around the lens, I think it is a great idea.

On all my glass I buy Hoya lens filters for protection. I have fives canon lenses and all have Hoya on them. They've never let me down.
