This UV filter seems to be good. I have another 77mm filter that yielded poor photos, but this one looks good. If you need the extra protection on your lens, this is a good choice.

Great protection for any 77mm lens

I use this filter all the time to protect my 70-200 Canon lens from any possible scratches and to keep any dust off my lens’s very expensive glass. I also find the threading very well crafted so that I can quickly remove it for any photoshoots or whenever I decide to switch in a polarized filter and never have to worry about cross threading or any other thread damage to my lenses

Good basic filter though pricey

Really necessary to protect the lens given how much the primary element sticks out. It was a little expensive for a 77mm filter at $90, but not a bad investment given the lens itself is more than $800.

Good Hoya filter
