I went to Best Buy to check out different monitor and saw this one as I was walking away. At first I was hesitant to spend that much on a monitor as my budget was about $40.00 less. No regrets so far, the picture is gorgeous and set up was a breeze. My current computer is very old and will be replaced in the near future. This monitor not only works with my old computer (VGA) but will work on the new one which will only have HDMI.

after three years didnt work anymore. it worked for a good three years and than it stopped working

I might have gotten a defective one however I was very displeased, it kept shutting off on me when I was viewing chrome and really anything involving screen

Overall impressions with this monitor were quite pleasing. Display is crystal clear and minimal bezel on the monitor gives it that super sleek look. Ultra thin design really completes the look of this monitor. Only issue with the power/HDMI plugs. They connect horizontally to the back of the monitor so they stick out quite a bit. Previous monitors I've owned had the plugs connect vertically rather than horizontally. Makes it look cleaner and allows for wall mounting (if need be). Other than that, looks great and really dig the slim design.

Screen often flickers to black for a few seconds. Probably a driver issue or incompatible with my computer, but it works well nonetheless.

They should have indicated that there were no internal speakers. I would not have purchased.

It was smaller than it seemed once it was out of the box. It's footprint on the desk is a bit too large due to the pedestal.

Purchased a new computer and needed a new monitor and this had HDMI connections.

I've changed my cord twice when it goes to sleep it wakes up green and I can't get rid of it unless I unplug it.

I like this but I wouldn't buy it as advanced screen are eye saver too bright

Bought a computer monitor which worked fine, except that the box was missing parts and installation instructions. Upon closer inspection, it appears that the monitor was a "return" and nobody at Best Buy bothered to check that everything had been returned. Nor, did Best Buy disclose that the product was a return. Very disappointed.

I was very happy with my purchase until part of the screen started flickering.

Its perfect for what I required. I have a 13 inch 2014 Macbook Pro which belongs to my girlfriend. I lost my 15 inch laptop recently (stolen). So I was trying to decide if I should buy a new 15 inch, or an iMac for home and use my girlfriend's laptop or just buy a monitor with a keyboard and mouse and just create my own workstation. We do not move around with the laptop a lot and did not want to spend so much for an iMac so this worked out great. Its still early days and I will take time to get used to the monitor a bit more and how it performs over time, but out of the box, its perfect, the size, the resolution. Specially the design is really good and looks premium. Easy to assemble.

Not long after we got this monitor the screen started flickering. I did everything that hp told me to do. None of their advice worked. I took it back to Best Buy. Even though our 15 days was up on the return they exchanged it anyways.

Upon the advise of the Best Buy staff, I purchased a monitor what is not compatible with my Surface Pro 4 because it does not have the proper resolution. It was past the return date before I discovered this due to unexpected travel.

This monitor is pretty nice. The picture is crisp and clear. It is lightweight and easy to set up.

I don't have a lot of experience with monitors; before receiving this one, I'd been using a 23.6" View Sonic that I bought 10 years ago. However, in shopping around for a new one, I've seen the new offerings and gotten used to some of the new features. This is probably the thinnest monitor that I've even personally encountered. It's incredible to me that such a clear display can come out of such a thin monitor. I think the thin, almost non-existent bezel/edges on the front, combined with the IPS display make for an amazing picture. The IPS is very helpful because my desk backs into a window and my old monitor, as well as my laptops, have issues with the glare. Not the case with the 23es.

as of today , this unit is inoperative !! hope this is the only defective unit. only a month old

I am reviewing this monitor as a 2-part project that includes the HP Wave desktop. Firstly, the HP-23 inch monitor has fair resolution. The set up for this monitor was relatively easy only requiring 2 hook ups to the wave desktop. Viewing of pictures, YouTube videos, movies and the like, this monitor offers clear resolution. However, the readability of words aren’t as clear as I thought it would be—being that the monitor has 1920X1080 resolution with full HD. Overall, the monitor does complement the wave desktop unit quite well. Yes, I do recommend this monitor if you are in need of a monitor that is reliable and meet your basic needs. However, if you desire a monitor with higher resolution and stronger picture clarity then this may not be the monitor for you!
