Was looking for a larger, IPS monitor to replace an older 20" Dell. Can't say for sure that the HP 23es was superior to the other comparable monitors in it's price range, but the picture quality looked fine for my non-critical requirements with good color and brightness, deep blacks and reasonably sharp text. When it came down to making a final choice, I went with aesthetics as the 23es nicely matches my Mac mini. Set up from opening the box to operation took only a few minutes. The stand (stable, but not height adjustable) snapped into the impressively thin and lightweight monitor without tools and the supplied HDMI cable directly connected to the Mac mini. It's also nice that the inline power supply connects to a standard AC cord that doesn't block additional power strip outlets as was mentioned in reviews of a comparable monitor from another manufacturer. No drivers (for the Mac) or major picture adjustments were required and it's working just fine for photo editing, viewing videos, etc.

I have three monitors hooked up to my docking station and of the three and others I have used in the past, this monitor has been outstanding. It was simple to hookup and it was plug and play...all the way. I am thinking about getting another one. You can never have too many monitors.

This is perhaps one of the best computer monitors that I have purchased… I actually have two of them to make a dual display for my computer however the main flaw that this monitor has is that the Actual display it self is extremely sensitive and if handled the wrong way or if enough pressure is added it will crack the inside of the LED display and then your picture is ruined and you need a new monitor so be extremely careful

I am glad I went ahead & got this larger screen for my monitor. I was concerned it was so big it wouldn't fit in the space I had but the Geek Squad did my set-up which was well worth the reasonable price & they made it work. This monitor is great. Seriously, it's like watching a TV screen!

At first I was unsure about this monitor, as it was pretty expensive. My old one was really trashy and could barely show even my most basic games. I love HP, so I really wanted a monitor from them. Although I paid a hefty price, it was well worth it. I definitely recommend this.

I was using 2 mismatched monitors, then decided to buy this one, as a matching set. So glad that I did. These are beautiful. Sharp picture, colors are vibrant, and I can play whatever I want, with awesome size!! These are great monitors, not disapointed, to say the least.

I use this to connect with my work laptop and my personal computer. This is great! I connect one via cable and the other via hdmi and it just takes a button click to switch between the two computers. This screen is large, super clear and very responsive. I couldn't be happier.

the screen is great quality and rather large. only complaint is that there are no built in speakers

Bought this because my old monitor went out. This is the perfect monitor for someone who doesn't need sound built in like me. I use external speakers. It also helps make this monitor extremely thin such was an added bonus.

This monitor performs exactly as advertised for either a desktop computer or as an expansion monitor for a laptop. The monitor is super thin, the resolution is great and the bezel is ultra narrow. Very easy setup.

I liked the monitor for the price tag. However, understand that you are getting something that is built for a budget versus a rich color or high resolution. The anti-glare finish was nice and the fact that it is extremely light is also a plus. Regarding the design, it is visually appealing and looks great on a clean desk (minimalist design). I picked this up for approximately $120 which is fair for the performance you receive.

I have been using this monitor for two years every day and it has never given me any issues. I am actually using this monitor right now as I write this. This is good for movies, youtube, and even gaming.

I needed a monitor for my home office. In comparing a number of high quality screens with the features I needed, I decided on this HP based on resolution, features, style, and price. I am very happy with my choice. It looks and performs great and was easy on my wallet.

I love this monitor. I got this as a second monitor for my home laptop and/or my work Surface Pro 3 and it works great. The picture quality is fantastic. If you need a 23 inch monitor you should but this one.

This monitor works well for me as I have a dual monitor setup. They fit side by side and the minimal edges help to not take up much desk space. The images are all sharp and clear while the response time works perfectly for the games I play. Overall a great item.

We bought two of these monitors for our new desktop and they work wonderfully.

I bought this monitor to take with me on customer presentations at their site it works well with my laptop and the larger screen makes our software really look great for customers. The non gloss display makes it much easier to see from a wider range of angles.
