No Regrets Buying HP!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two of these to connect to my Apple Macbook Pro. They are easy on the eyes, and I can tell you that after staring at them all day long for weeks on end, they are a great purchase. Aside Note: I have a bit of a bias for HP products. I have been a huge HP fan for years-- for what it is worth. But I almost bought the ASUS monitors over these-- I'm pleased with this purchase!

Nice Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor was a nice upgrade from my previous monitor which I also bought here awhile back. The size is perfect for my workspace. The HD display provides bright clear visuals when working which is exactly what I wanted. The monitor I am still learning the menus so I am sure I wil discover even more ways to get value out of this product. So far I am satisfied with this purchase.

For office use-but not really for games
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Hewlett-Packard 24 inch LED monitor is indeed a handsome piece of hardware. After using it for a few weeks, I have to conclude that it is better suited for general use – office work, rather than for gaming. Setting up was easy. It came with a brochure – illustrated the way the stand is put together but if you have done something familiar before with another monitor, you could practically do it with your eyes closed. The monitor is adjustable so to speak. It will tilt forward and backward only. It doesn't go up and down. I thought it was a shortcoming – like a printer that doesn't print duplex. The maximum resolution is indeed HD and you can connect this monitor to a Blu-ray player via the HDMI cable (although I don't think it was marketed to be used so) – it doesn't have built-in speakers. For that, the monitor is quite thin – in fact so thin that it doesn't have the way to mount this monitor onto the wall or to a monitor arm. That is another shortcoming if it is ever hoped to be a gaming monitor as many gamers will use more than one monitor if they cannot afford a much more expensive widescreen. The menus are easy to navigate but the buttons are very small. It has the feature which synchronizes with an AMD graphic card called FreeSync® – but it only goes up to 70 Hz – almost like, if I may say so, a DeLorean car – design as a sport car – but doesn't really perform like one. But using it as an office or home office monitor, I was very happy with this. I had to calibrate it, and the gamut is wide (it's an IPS monitor) - and I was able to actually match the print out to what ever was being displayed on the monitor exactly. (Probably because I also have RIP (raster image processor) software that turns my inkjet into a Postscript printer.) Comparing this monitor to the other one (wide screen) that I have (also calibrated), this looks better. I have GTX1080 so FreeSync doesn't work with it, but it was able to play games well enough. Again, this is not a monitor to spend hours for games, but it's a very useful monitor – I think the price could be a little high to the limitation that was imposed by its design. I recommend this monitor, as long as you know that when compared to a higher frequency and most likely larger monitor, and more expensive, you get a reliable monitor for everyday use - and not for gaming.
