gap in screen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen is great but on the right side there is a gap where the light is escaping. I can push it close to but continues to open up. Pretty disappointed in this monitor.

Open box was not excellent condition.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered two, and they are open box. This is partly my fault, but I waited five months before using them. They look great and are very light and easy to hook up. But, one of them had a number of lines going down the right hand side, so it was clearly damaged. I don't think I'll be able to return it. Like I said, I should have looked earlier, but still expect to have them be in excellent condition as it states.

HP extra monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spoiled by HD monitors and so the resolution was important. I thought the clarity would exceed expectations. But, for the value, I got what I paid for.

Decent monitor, but no VESA mount
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor has a very clean design, and should look good on just about any desktop. Has a pretty small bezel area also, at just under a quarter inch. Has built in cable management, along the backside of the riser from the base, and was easy to get cables in. I’ve had a few other monitors that either took an engineering degree to get the cover on/off, or the channel was so tight that you felt like you were mangling the cables just to get them in. HP says it’s eyesafe certified, which I’d never heard of before. Researched it a little bit, and it sounds like the monitor produces lower/less intense levels of bluelight. Several studies attribute high levels of bluelight exposure to eye strain, disrupted sleep patterns, and possibly even long-term damage. My eyes seem to be less irritated, but I’ve only been using the monitor for a couple of days, so it might be coincidental. You’d think that the reduced bluelight would have a negative effect on color reproduction, but that doesn’t seem to be the case, at least not for the average user. I’d imagine some photography/graphics pros could tell a difference, but most people won’t notice a thing. Especially if they don’t have a different monitor right next to this one. Adjustment controls are very easy to use. The buttons are discreetly placed on the underside of the monitor, so they’re pretty much unseen, yet easy to get to. Interactive menus are easy to navigate and understand. My only real complaint is that the monitor doesn’t have VESA mounts. There are plenty of other monitors in this price range (and lower) that have VESA mounts, so not including them is disappointing.

Beautiful monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP FreeSync 24" monitor is a beautiful monitor. Bezels are practically non-existent and it is incredibly thin. And because it's an IPS display the picture is beautiful, as well. Color reproduction is excellent and the picture is sharp and clear from almost any angle, as an IPS display should be. I can't say I notice much difference with the blue light filter HP included with this monitor, but I'm guessing if you're on your monitor before bedtime you'll be able to sleep better. This is a pretty basic monitor without USB ports, or a plethora of ports, but if you need a decently priced monitor and you have a VGA or HDMI port, I can't think of a a better choice than the HP FreesSync. It's a beautiful monitor with a great picture.

Super thin quality image basic monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really digging the bezel size on the new HP series of monitors. I picked this one up to go with a 27 of the same size, and they take up SO LITTLE room on my desk. The image quality is quite high for the price point, as well as brightness. There are some trade-offs to the size of this monitor that keeps me from giving it the full 5 stars. The nonstandard mounting/lack of a VESA mount is definitely one of them. There are 3rd party adapters that I have looked into for use on a monitor arm. Also the low number of inputs, with just 1 HDMI port I wouldn't say connectivity is high. It also doesn't support daisy-chaining due to its lack of a display port. This is normally high-end/enterprise monitor stuff, but I"m a fan of anything that helps me have fewer cables and clean up my desktop. The included stand is quite low profile, has some minor adjustments for ergonomics, and fits the monitor nicely. Touch controls top of the nice feel and finish of this display. Overall I like the build, the IPS panel is very bright and crisp. I would recommend this monitor to anyone needing desktop only, or not looking for a mountable solution.

Low resolution is a problem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The resolution of this monitor is very low. When connecting to a MacBook which has a retina display, the image on the monitor seems very grainy.
