Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the screen size and ease of use as significant advantages of the 24" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor. The monitor's quality and design also receive positive feedback. While some users would prefer built-in speakers and a higher refresh rate, many find the monitor comfortable for extended use.

I recently experienced the difference a new monitor can make if you are using one that is more than 5 years old. My work-from-home setup was thrown together with older monitors that I had around the house. They didn't match, and they didn't have any of the "eye care" features that are common in many monitors today. Let me tell you, it is worth the upgrade! I replaced both monitors in my WFH setup and it has made such a difference in my eyes drying out (I wear contacts) and and being able to look at the monitor for hours at a time. This HP 24" is replacing my home computer's 8 year old monitor. One of the best features is the incredibly thin bezzle on this model compared to my old one, which is nearly 1.25 inches. The bezzle on this HP monitor is actually under the panel, so it produces a clear edge with no shadowing or reflection on the bezzle itself. The 1/8" bezzle on this one is barely noticeable, so if you are using applications in full screen mode, there is no distraction. The other feature on this monitor that makes it a step above most others is the height adjustment. I'm always amazed at how rare it is to find a monitor with a height adjustment, usually only tilt. For clarification, the height adjustment is the up/down motion of the display. Typically, if a monitor display sits to low for you, you set the monitor on a stand (or a ream of paper or a book in a pinch!), which raises the height of the display and prevents you from tilting your head down to view it. This is the source of a lot neck pain when using a computer for extended periods of time. As I am a bit short, I tend to like the monitor lower than most people, and having this freedom to makes it so much easier for me. This monitor has a big range of height as well. At the lowest point, the bottom of the frame is just over 2" above the desk. At its highest, the bottom of the frame is just shy of 6 1/4 inches. Definitely accommodating for almost any need! The display itself is clear and bright, and it uses a non-glare panel, which is very useful if you are in a bright room or your setup is near a window. I was able to watch some videos and work using this monitor and had no issues with the clarity of the display. As it is capably of up to a 75 Hz refresh rate, this could be a good monitor for gaming. The older monitors in my home are a variety of brands, and I have to give HP credit for making the monitor adjustments so easy to use. The buttons are located under the frame, with the power button offset a bit from the rest of the buttons, making it easy to find them by touch. Once the menu button is pressed, the menu options display on the screen in alignment with the other buttons (such as up, down, cancel). This is SO much better than another monitor I have where the buttons are on the back of the display and you really have not idea what each one does because of the menu structure. For me, I found this monitor to be too bright when I turned it on for the first time (I'm sensitive to bright light), and it took me less than 30 seconds to find the adjustment and turn it down. This alone gives a full start to this product. The one feature that I am not as happy with on this monitor is the ports - 1 HDMI, 1 VGA (D-sub), and no speakers. My needs are a bit more than a lot of users. If you need 1-2 displays and you are plugging them in to a single computer, this will meet your needs. However, I have a 3-computer setup, with a desktop tower (Windows), a Mac mini, and a mini pc running Fedora (Linux). This makes it easy for me to switch operating systems just by changing the channel on the monitor, the keyboard, and the mouse (I use a multi-channel keyboard/mouse combo). My old monitors have speakers built in, along with 2 HDMI ports and one VGA. This allows me to plug everything in and just press a button on each display (I have 2) in order to move to a different computer. Unfortunately, this HP monitor doesn't meet that need. I don't necessarily knock it for the type of display, as you can use adapters and various cables to get around that problem, but it would be hugely helpful for this display to have an additional port, preferably HDMI or displayport. Having speakers would be helpful as well as a low-priority computer could make use of without needing external speakers. Again, my needs are a bit more specific, but this is a consideration if yours are similar to mine. Overall, the height adjustment on this monitor, along with its excellent display and streamlined look (small bezzles) make this an excellent choice for most users. I will probably look at an HDMI splitter as a way to get around the 1-port limitation, because this monitor is fantastic in every other way. I would definitely recommend it!

For the price I guess it works. Not the best display, could be worse. Would I buy it again, probably not (I'd do more research) but I just needed something quick.

It was beautiful until I sat down last night and saw that half the screen was black and it had lines going vertical and horizontal. I called support and they said it must have been hit hard or dropped. I can send it back and pay for them to repair it. This monitor has sat in the same spot on my desk for 4 months. It has never been so much as moved. No pets and no one else had access to it. What a piece of crap and a crap warranty. This was my first and last HP product. I do NOT recommend this monitor

Purchased this in December. Has been on a desk since then and it is May. Cracks appeared out of nowhere and it is not covered under warranty. Support said there was impact and there has been none that I recall. So if it was bumped or anything it was minimal. I have monitors I carry back and forth to work that I never have problems with. So I'm out the money we spent on this. I will never buy another HP product. Not quite 6 months of owning. And fir reference, replacement is $252 which is way more than I paid for it. Go with another brand even if you get a good deal.
