Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the 25f 25" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor's picture quality, ease of use, price, and color accuracy, with many praising its sleek design and lightweight build. However, customers are negative about the lack of built-in speakers and some have expressed concerns about the monitor stand's stability and adjustability. A few users mentioned issues with glare and the absence of a VESA mount. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality and affordability outweighs the negative comments regarding the accessories.

Excellent Larger Monitor at Price Point
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used monitors from 11 inches to 32 inches. Your desktop space will often limit the size of monitor that will fit on your desk and allow you to sit in a comfortable way and see the entire surface properly. This is a larger monitor at 25”. First I did find that monitors up to 27” will fit most home situations, so this one is a great choice for your home system. It does not have speakers and this can be important to many people; however with the availability of excellent Bluetooth speaker systems I think this is actually a plus i.e. the monitor-designer can focus on the best aspects of the video and not worry about cost adds or technology for speakers. I went through all the available adjustments which are very simple with on-screen displays. This is a very subjective area and I think it is advisable for each user to find the sweet spot for their situation based on existing lighting, applications you use, and viewing angles etc. Having said that, this monitor is wonderful in that you can customize the view easily and I did notice the colors are wonderful, the text is very readable and brightness and contrast settings provide all the adjustments most people and situations would need. HP gets an A+ in this important area. This is a FreeSync monitor and HDMI does support FreeSync so you are fine to use this for gaming and it means you should see less stutter for example. However if you are a high-end gamer you may need to check your graphics card to be sure you don’t require a DisplayPort on your monitor to match your computer’s capabilities. Construction is solid and you do have two HDMI ports and a VGA port (no DisplayPort option). It is super thin and lightweight yet has a very stable well-designed base. Instructions to assemble it are clear. The price performance I feel is a big plus also for a 25 inch monitor of this clarity and functionality. Be careful with cheaper monitors as the text may be fuzzy, so you do need to invest properly to get a nice monitor and this is one that has the proper features. Make sure you sample the image control options to ensure you get the right balance for your needs when you first set it up – very nice. I would definitely recommend this if you are moving up from say a 21 inch or 23 inch monitor – the extra ‘real estate’ does make a nice difference.

After 1 month of use one of the pixels failed
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 1 month of use one of the pixels failed. I have a vertical line on the left side of screen. I bought 2 of these. This one failed me. The other one is still operating as it should with no flaws.

Unique styling and nice price point.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a basic “no frills” monitor that is very good for office and school use, with adequate performance for gaming. The appearance is very stylish, with an extremely thin profile and edge-to-edge display. Check the style, as it is very distinctive and as such you may or may not choose this as a second monitor if you are picky about your monitors having the same or similar appearance. Overall, the monitor is very easy to assemble and set up, just a matter of a few minutes to get it up and running. Please note that there is no VESA mounting capability, so this will need to sit on your desktop or computer stand. The loop-shaped base has a large footprint (see pictures) which makes it very stable. If you have very limited space on your desktop, you might want to have a close look at the footprint to be sure you have room. Colors are as good as other monitors in the price range. For twice the price you could get a better image, but this is not a high-end monitor and should not be expected to be the best of the best. The 1080p resolution is just as good as any other I have tried at this price point. I have not noticed the bleeding around some edges that other reviewers have noted, so suggest you check your monitor out as soon as you get it home in case there is some issue with the light bleeding on your monitor. For adjustments, if you frequently change your monitor settings depending on what you are doing at the time, the adjustments on this monitor may slow you down. The menu buttons are out of sight around the back of the monitor and require some getting used to and generally more than normal clicking around to get the right button for the desired adjustments. If, however, you are a “set it and forget it” user – once you get your preferred settings, you should be good to go. Windows 10 picked up on the 75Hz refresh capability, and automatically adjusted to the higher refresh rate. Connections are either HDMI or the old-style 15-pin VGA. The monitor is so thin that the HDMI connector really “sticks out” on the back due to the straight plug-in angle (in other words, the HDMI does not plug in the side, but goes straight into the back of the monitor – see picture of the back of the monitor). If your video card requires a DVI connection, you will need to get an inexpensive adapter or DVI-in to HDMI-out cable. This was my solution to run this as a second monitor off a video card, and fortunately there is no loss of performance. The power block is proprietary and comes in the box with a small plug connecting power to the monitor (see picture of back of monitor). This monitor should give you good performance once you get it set up to your liking. High intensity gamers will pass over this to go for the higher refresh rates (at a higher price), but the rest of the world should find this meets everyday use and most gaming needs.

Great monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor is extremely responsive and the 4K quality thus far is outstanding. Picture quality, color contrast is good. The monitor is very thin and doesn't take up much real estate. Thin bezel and hidden buttons. The one major negative for me is the lack of speakers. You have to connect external speakers or listen to the audio through a connected device, i.e., laptop. Great during video games. I also use it for our sons homeschool activities because the monitor is a good size in comparison to having him so close to his smaller laptop screen.

Great looking monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this monitor a couple of weeks ago. The primary function was to be allowing others around my desk to see what is on my laptop screen without crowding around. I've found myself hooking it up when alone so that I can enjoy the larger screen. I use it with my Samsung DeX station as well. With the DeX my phone is almost like having a desktop at hand and allows me to do a lot more with my phone than I ever imagined .I streamed a 1080P action movie (not something I normally do at my desk) just for grins and it looked great. I love the looks of this monitor too, bezel free on three sides with stainless steel looking stand and bottom. Assembly was a snap, I made slight brightness and contrast adjustments and was ready to go. This is the perfect monitor for my needs and it looks so much better on my desk than the clunky looking black plastic one it replaced.

good monitor, for the price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe we have become spoiled in this price range with certain features and results from monitors. This shines in several and fails at others. I am using a GeoForce GTX 750Ti with a Windows 10 64 bit computer and the supplied HDMI cable ( I had to put in a DVI to HDMI adapter) Pro: nice picture, was very bright and turned mine down to half brightness for office viewing. I think for even a very brightly lit office this would suffice. setup was easy, i love when you don't have to install software for a piece of equipment to work. For dual monitrs, the bezel is decently thin. I used this for a few games, all Steam based and no flutters or hiccups. Really good response time with 5ms. For movies I ran Netflix and Plex server movies and the all looked fairly good. I watched a movie with my roommate, and she sat off to the side and saw it just fine. the colors were pretty similar to other monitors I had on my desk. I ran 2 monitor calibrations and no dead pixels and no stuck pixels Cons: I hate all the buttons on the bottom with no labels. Once you get accustomed to the placement it gets better. I do not get why monitors still have a VGA, and no DVI? that is just crazy. does have 2 HDMI As with several others on here, I had some pretty major light bleed. Mine was on all 4 corners. Less noticeable on a game, much more so on a movie. When I ran this alone the picture quality was pretty good, but when I put it next to a similar monitor you can see the image is slightly washed out This does tilt, but wont raise or lower. No external USB connections or webcam. flat out 1080 connection, with so many in the price point have to get ahead, these items are becoming more common. super weird picture modes (all blue or a kinda rose colored one) As with all things you get what you pay for. This is a decent monitor that tends to fall in line with others in this class. Ya, if you see it grab one (and if it happens to be on sale even better.)

A little Pricey, Good Monitor though
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whats in the box --------------- 1. HDMI cable 2. HP 25f 25" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor 3. Owner's manual 4. VGA cable Pros ---- 1. It's full HD display with 75Hz refresh rate 2. Comes with HDMI cable 3. Has 2 HDMI port 4. Small bezel, dark blacks and wide viewing angle 5. Good grayscale performance Cons ---- 1. No USB Port 2. TIlt only stand 3. No internal speaker 4. No Camera Review ------- With the bezel free design and slim cabinet, the HP 25f monitor is a striking monitor. The monitor sits on a rectangular stand and it can let forward and backward but wont support height, swivel or pivot settings.I/O ports are located at the rear of the cabinet, facing outward. Here, you'll find two HDMI ports, a VGA port, and a power jack. The right side of the front bezel contains four function buttons used for navigating the settings menus, as well as a Power button. The display itself is quite good, i think its a good basic monitor for connecting your laptop or PC and can be suited for watching movies. Not having a speaker is a big bummer! I see some of the reviewers complaining about color bleeding although i did not notice any. the colors look acurrate and sharp. I did not test any gamies on it but it has Freesync technology so it should work well with AMD graphics card.

Fantastic Monitor for Games or Office
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The word that came to mind once I powered this on was very simply WOW...first thing you will notice is how thin the monitor is when you are setting it up, also the bezel around the edge is almost non existent which gives it a great edge to edge picture. The colors are vibrant and the face of the monitor while somewhat shiny doesn't reflect light and it just somehow enhances the picture. It has 2 HDMI ports and a typical PC VGA port which supply the 1080p picture. You can be rest assured ANYTHING you want to do on this monitor you can and it will make all you do just look that much better. From games to spreadsheets and emails to videos on YouTube, you cant go wrong with this display.

Drop Dead Gorgeous Screen!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this screen, period! The colors and dual inputs are what sold me in within 10 minutes of being out of the box. Response rate is high and great for gaming and 3D modeling work. The Micro Edge display helps keep it down on size so it still fit in the area my old 21' screen fits, which is a huge positive. The screen is also light weight and comes with a very sturdy stand, so it doesn't wobble when the kids run by you desk. Colors are amazing and the black/whites are both deep and do not run off into each other. This makes for great picture editing getting every pixel of a color edge you need to manipulate the photo, leaving no weird halos around the photos. Look at any of these new HP screens, they should be at the top of your list!!

Great Picture
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like the quality of this monitor. Picture is sharp and easy on the eyes. Offers 2 HDMI connection and traditional monitor hook up. Only think I don't like about it is the stand. The way it angles, it keeps it from being flush to the back of the hutch on desk. Small detail considering everything else is great.
