Gifted to boyfriend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My boyfriend wanted this so I got it for him! Only complaint is that the monitor randomly goes black? Not sure what is wrong we have checked it many of times and everything seems pretty good with it. It just goes black sometimes while he is online gaming!

May be good for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor might be good for gaming but I am finding that there are too many lines on a regular PC. It might be because my refresh rate is at 60 or 75 in these monitors are rated much higher

Great Mid-range Gaming Monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.-- The Good -- * Small bezels * Bright, vibrant display * AMD FreeSync * 144 Hz refresh rate * Great build quality -- The Bad -- * Not a fan of green LEDs? I'm not in need of a 4K HDR monitor, so I'm quite happy with HP's new gaming monitor. For anyone (like me) that isn't rocking a GTX 1080, a high-quality FHD monitor is great. Thankfully, HP has a solid choice for any mid-range gaming PC. I'm using an AMD build (Ryzen 5 + RX 580), so having a monitor that supports FreeSync (even with HDMI) is a no-brainer. This is my first monitor with this feature, and it really does make a difference. If you are using an AMD GPU, do yourself a favor and give this monitor your serious consideration (and maybe go into your local Best Buy to see it in person). The 25x has extremely narrow side and top bezels. The display has vibrant colors and is quite bright. It's almost too bright actually. If you don't sit near a window, you'll want to lower the brightness down right away. The monitor stand is very sturdy, but if you prefer VESA mount, it's supported (just remove the stand and you're good to go). The monitor height is adjustable with decent travel distance too. You can also use the 25x in portrait view in a multi-monitor setup as well. -- Bottom Line -- I love this monitor. If I had to find anything to complain about, it would be that I'm not a fan of green (I would have preferred a blue LED status light and blue accents). I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a non-4K display, especially if you're using an AMD GPU.

Good product but misses some basic things
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good resolution as marked (1080p), refresh rate and overall performance as a monitor. But this one is missing some basic things like - USB ports and monitor audio.

Posted .Dear Customer,
Thank you for your feedback.
As you mentioned, the monitor does not have a USB-C port. Instead, it allows connectivity to your system via Display Port or HDMI to maintain the high refresh rate.
This model does not come with a built-in speaker, but we can recommend other options that can enhance your experience with freesync.

Great FHD Monitor, best for Xbox/ AMD Graphics
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's always tricky to review monitors, because so much of it depends on what you're using it for, games you play, etc. I can't fault the HP 25x other than to say I wish it had speakers for those times when I am not gaming with a headset. Not mentioned by others, the monitor can pivot 90 degrees, if you want to use in portrait vs landscape. I saw another reviewer comment about the Power Light, you can disable it ( Power Control > Power LED > Off.) The best thing about this monitor is if you have an AMD Graphics card (I have a Radeon) or use this with an Xbox you can use AMDs proprietary FreeSync settings to get the best results. Yes, the HP 25x works with any HDMI compatible graphics cards but FreeSync gives you a smoother experience (less stuttering). Personally love the HP25x and it's an excellent gaming monitor.

Great picture & features, lag free, minus speakers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP 25X is an overall excellent monitor. In my case it was connected to an HP Pavillion Gaming desktop with an AMD Ryzen 5 and I got great performance. The screen is a 1920x1080 Full HD that looks great. I see no need to go any higher than 1080p in my opinion. The build is very nice with its green and silver that matches the tower nicely. The bezels are very small, and is almost edge to edge aside from the lower part of the display. It has HDMI and display port inputs. I use HDMI for everything. There are very nice on screen controls and plenty of settings to tweak it to your specific needs. You can adjust height to get it to the perfect angle needed. The picture is very good. Excellent colors and crisp graphics. And the performance is outstanding. I thought my Samsung TV had low input lag. Well this makes it seem like my TV runs in slow motion. The claimed 1ms of response time is real. With a 144hz refresh rate there is no lag at all and immediate response to inputs. It also has freesync for compatible cards. The only drawback is a lack of speakers. But I do all my gaming, etc. with Astro A50 headphones so it wasnt really needed here. But some might find this an issue. But a nice set of external speakers doesnt cost much. And I think most gamers prefer headsets anyways, so no big deal there. I think it was a smart cost saving thing since most gamers either use headphones, or already have, or plan to purchase a set of external speakers. Overall this is an excellent gaming monitor at a pretty good price. You get a lot of features, with great picture, and basically 100% lag free performance. It has a great build that matches the tower Im using which is a nice touch. Definitely recommended.

Excellent FHD Monitor for Intensive Graphics
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP - 25x 24.5" LED FHD Monitor - Gray/Green This is a fine-looking monitor! It has a matte black finish with ambient green lighting at the center bottom. It’s fully adjustable: swivels 360 degrees, tilt up or down, pivot 90 degrees. The pedestal is solid holding the monitor precisely as you’ve adjusted it. The screen is FHD and runs edge to edge with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen has a matte finish! For me, this is big as I have a window behind my desk, but there simply is no glare on the screen at any time – I love it! This is a 24.5” screen (12” high and 21.5” wide – this is the actual screen, the monitor is slightly taller and wider but, of course, not counting the pedestal). It runs at 144 Hz with only 1ms or less response time. It has AMD FreeSync also (this causes the refresh rate of the monitor to sync with the framerates your computer generates for a smoother picture – no tearing). The display is a TN type with LED backlighting. It has all sorts of controls to adjust for almost anything. It offers one DP input and one HDMI input along with a sound port if you prefer to run speakers from the monitor as opposed to running sound from your computer itself. Brightness will run up to 400 nits with a contrast ratio of 1000:1. It comes with the power cord and one HDMI cable. I’ve been using this in conjunction with a tower desktop computer doing both office work and gaming. The color is very good along with contrast. Although your computer’s graphic’s capability enters into this too, the response time is very, very good. While gaming I’ve seen no tearing or distortions of the images and it runs fast and smooth. I’m running an AMD CPU so the AMD FreeSync works flawlessly with the HP Monitor. I would recommend this monitor for anyone working with intensive graphics in an office setting or gaming!

Check Your Monitor's FW Version
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.if your FW Version is ATM 111 you are in luck! if your version is ATM 141 good luck figuring out FreeSync settings. Oh and also, two different sizes. One monitor is half inch shorter than the other one like what.... I will return the ATM 141 I received and get another monitor. (Not sure how I could downgrade firmwares) Do not bother doing dual/tri monitor setup with these since more than likely you will receive different sizes/models.
