I really like this monitor. Set-up is basically plug and play, it is thin and light, it performs well and has a modern design. It looks good, is very thin, while still solidly built, and the side and top bezels are ridiculously minimal, pretty much disappearing when you are taking in content. The silver color is nice, but I really would have preferred black, to more match my setup as well as just for a stealthier look. There are 2 HDMI ports and 1 VGA, so, connections are good…but not perfect. Given the price point, this is good, and most people will be covered (and you get some backward compatibility), but a display port would have been a nice add. I also would have liked to see a VESA mount (and speakers), but again, given the market spot these are not really knocks, just my preferences (and honestly, not really things to be EXPECTED here). The stand is, well, pretty standard, and is easy to attach. It also provides a slot for cabling, so the cables can easily be routed and hidden. Given my irrational hate of cable mess, this was a welcome inclusion. The controls are also standard, intuitive, and about what you would expect. No issues there. As for performance, I am very much pleased. The 1920 x 1080 resolution looks very good. The picture is crisp, vivid, and bright, and colors both pop and are accurate. I really like the IPS panel, which has a 5 ms response time, and a solid 70 Hz refresh rate, but, for me at least, the viewing angles are the best benefit. TN and other panels have that distortion in colors and clarity when not seated in that perfect “center center” spot. I will choose better viewing angles pretty much every time. Lastly, I really like the matte finish. This is a personal thing, but I will also choose matte over glossy pretty much every time. Glare and reflections are not for me. Ultimately, I really like this panel. If you are looking for a crispy HD screen in a good size, this may be worth a look. It could work by itself or with two side to side. It may not be the best spec’d, or have a bunch of add-ons, but It looks great, performs very well and is a fantastic value.

This HP monitor is great, I love it. At first I thought it was too big and now it's I need another one!

Might not be the best out there, but it is fairly easy on the eyes with the right settings and makes for any enjoyable gaming experience or doing a long project. Either way, it’s perfect.
