Customers are saying

Customers commend the 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor for its large screen size, ease of use, and excellent quality, frequently praising its design and resolution. While some wish for built-in speakers and a higher refresh rate, many appreciate the monitor's lightweight design and the lack of eye strain. A few users noted the absence of a VESA mount and limitations with the stand's adjustability.

This monitor is awful and customer service even worse. The monitor screen had a big horizontal line going through it literally the day after returns were no longer exceptes by Bestbuy (day 16). Bestbuy would not help me and the product still supposedly covered under manufacturer warranty. After 4 hours on phone with HP with them troubleshooting a broken monitor I was told they would send me a box to return. Another 16 days and 4 calls later apparently theres a box shortage seriously? I still have the original box and asked for return label twice to mail back and nothing has been done. Several hundred dollars wasted with no reason for monitor to break. It was just sitting on a desk in my house and had only been used a few hours. I am upset and disappointed and will never purchase anything from HP or Bestbuy again due to lack of concern and customer service.

    27 inches of display goodness

Often times, just adding a monitor to an existing setup makes you happy. I don’t know if we even care what it looks like or how it performs. We are most times just looking for additional screen or desktop real estate. Some of us understand the need for a quality monitor, and expect not only quality display, but aesthetics and practicality. It’s the latter reason the M27f from HP is worth a look. Unboxing this monitor, you will find it pleasingly different from most. It’s beautifully thin. If you’ve ever played perfection as a kid, you will have no trouble putting it together with a very simple snap and screw – easy stuff. The monitor sits very well and stable. It has a small forward footprint, with the stand only sitting a couple of inches or so forward of the display. 3 inputs allows you to connect 3 devices – 2 HDMI and 1 VGA. This gives you a lot of flexibility for using this monitor for multiple purposes like extended display space with gaming or an additional computing or media device (Raspberry Pi anyone?). One special feature I liked about the design was the ability for the monitor to tilt upward. I thought this was a very nice touch with the adjustable desks that are becoming increasingly popular. It allows you to set an angle that’s more favorable to a standing desk height. Very cool touch. The M27f has nice picture quality – good clarity, color accuracy, and refresh rate. The default picture mode is Neutral. I thought it was decent, but I really liked Native and HP Enhance+. The clarity really stands out for productivity apps using these modes. My mode of choice has to be HP Enhance+. Clear lettering, crisp detail on buttons, icons, images – just nice detail. Why is this so special on this display? Because you get all of that with a very controlled, easy on the eyes, display with an always on blue light filter. I think that is fantastic for consumers at this price point – and at 27 inches, yep! This is a great all-around monitor for anyone in the market. It produces a great 1080p picture, has all the fine-tuning controls of some of the best monitors, is beautifully thin, and has the always on blue light filter. The only thing that I would want that’s not included is vertical adjusting. Other than that, I consider this to be 27 inches of goodness for most in the market.

Overall good resolution but the screen colors are not true. If you are a designer or edit photography, it will drive you crazy. Do yourself a favor and pick a different monitor that does not have bluelight protection (or at least one you can turn that feature off) without researching further. Even the color white does not appear "white", everything is dingy in any setting.

WOW My Eyes Love This Monitor

Wow! This 27 inch monitor (M27f by HP) is a big step up from the built-in screen on my 14 inch laptop. Eyesafe certified to help protect my old peepers from too much screen time. Has low blue light with FULL HD and IPS for LCD screen viewing from almost any angle. Anti-glare. One VGA port and two HDMI ports. One HDMI 5 foot cable included. Monitor, stand, HDMI etc....come in an easy to carry and open "suitcase" with compartments for each item. 1080P so works well for watching streaming shows on a screen bigger than on your laptop. I've been using this as a second screen when I work on my laptop at home. Silver stand with barely there black bezel around the edge of monitor. Easy set up with swivel that pushes into the back of the monitor then the silver leg/stand screws into the swivel using the built in handle or a screwdriver. Screen can tilt back and forth. Plastic cover fits on the leg stand back so you can run the HDMI and power cord inside for a bit of cord management. Power button and those set up buttons that you always have to play with if you want to try adjusting the basic setup are hidden under the edge of the right side of the monitor. Small white light when powered on. Everything seems to be plug-n-play to start and you can always do a Factory Reset if you don't like the changes you have made. I've tried connecting this to my older laptop, too and it works just as well as on my new laptop. This would be a great monitor for a desktop, too. Dimensions are 17.21 inches high by 24 inches wide by about 7 inches deep (8 inches deep for the stand) and it only weighs 7 pounds (feels a bit heavier to me). Energy Star certified and has a normal 3 prong plug instead of one of those giant cubes that take up two spaces in a power strip.

The HP 27f monitor is a basic 1080p gaming and general use monitor. The color reproduction is great and with the Eyesafe blue light reduction it can reduce eyestrain. Eyesafe does not affect color accuracy. The monitor can support 75hz at 1080p (1920 x 1080) with wide viewing angles. The Freesync support with low input lag makes it great for gaming. This monitors gaming use is limited by it’s resolution. Inputs are HDMI x 2 and VGA. The monitor is good looking and very thin due to the separate power supply brick. The stand is basic, a little wobbly with tilt only. Kudos are due Hp they made this monitor Eco friendly by using 85 percent recycled plastic and the packaging is 100 percent recycled. My feelings about this monitor are mixed. Great color, viewing angles and low input lag but limited resolution abet at 75hz max. This puts this monitor squarely in a budget gaming category or mixed work and gaming. Freesync will only work if you have an AMD card with Freesync support. Nvidia cards will only support Freesync over Display port. (There is some news that Nvidia has enabled Gsync over HDMI on monitors that have a firmware update to support it but I was not able to get it working with this monitor). If you have an Xbox it has an AMD graphics chip and will support Freesync. If you are looking for high resolution look elsewhere.

This is HP's newest monitor built with always-on blue light filter for comfortable viewing and is Eyesafe certified. I am impressed with how the blue light filter doesn't affect the color quality. The monitor is extremely easy to setup right out of the box. It has a slim profile and barely takes any room on the desk. This is a 16x9 FHD (1920x1080) resolution monitor with 75Hz refresh rate. It also features the AMD FreeSync technology, which is ok for casual gaming, but I wouldn't recommend it for hardcore gaming. The box includes the monitor along with an HDMI cable, and the power cord. The slim profile of this monitor is due to the borderless design on three sides while the bottom bezel is slightly larger. You will find the power and menu buttons at the bottom of the monitor. There is 1 VGA port and 2 HDMI ports to connect to this monitor. You can tilt the monitor for various viewing angles, but you cannot adjust the stand height. The IPS display provides consistent color and image clarity across different viewing angles. One biggest drawback is no VESA mount support on the back, which means you must always have this placed on a desk. While it might not be a gaming monitor, this is a perfect day-to-day monitor for home office/school setup that is easy on the eyes without compromising on the image quality. If you are on the market for an inexpensive big monitor, check this out.

Great Entry-Level Do It All Monitor

Monitors today are so specified whether they be for either business use or gaming use, but this monitor does both at a reasonable price. Firstly, right out of the box the asthetics are right along the lines of other superior HP products. The entire monitor and stand are very thin and sleek looking and are not overly bulky in the slightest. The “micro-edge” display is great as reducing the bezels is a nice plus to reduce the overall size of the monitor. Then as far as the actual performance this is what sets the monitor apart from similarly priced monitors. Firstly, the wide viewing angles, built in blue-light filter, and 3 inputs (1 VGA and 2 HDMI) allows for me to connect both my PC and laptop without having to unplug and plug in cords constantly. For gaming the extra HDMI port is nice so that I can plug in my Xbox as well without having to once again unplug and plug in numerous cables. The actual performance of the monitor for gaming is great with the 70Hz screen and inclusion of Freesync along with the 5 millisecond response time for those that game on PC. I do have to mention the slight faults with this monitor as no monitor is perfect in this price range. The monitor first must be used on its stand as there are no VESA mounts on the back and to that nature the stand is not adjustable. This personally was not an issue for me as I prefer the clean look on the back of the monitor as I did not plan on mounting it and the height of the monitor fit my needs perfectly. Overall, for an entry level do it all monitor this monitor is nearly perfect as it provides those exceptional work aspects with its wide viewing angle and blue light filter along with freesync and high refresh rates for gaming. Along with its sleek asthetics I would definitely recommend this to those looking for a fairly inexpensive do it all monitor.

This HP monitor provides a dull picture. Despite changing the settings the clarity and resolution is just not good. Some of the pixels are bad and located in places where it is obvious and distracting. The quality of HP products has really deteriorated. NOT RECOMMEND
