Customers are saying
Customers commend the 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor for its large screen size, ease of use, and excellent quality, frequently praising its design and resolution. While some wish for built-in speakers and a higher refresh rate, many appreciate the monitor's lightweight design and the lack of eye strain. A few users noted the absence of a VESA mount and limitations with the stand's adjustability.

You get what you pay for
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up returning this monitor as the clarity of the picture reminded me of a first generation i-Phone. It was priced extremely low, but you certainly get what you pay for. I exchanged it and paid an extra $300 for an LG 27UP600 which I am much happier with.

Good monitor, Premium Price Tag
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unboxing the HP 27” IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor, you will find the monitor, disassembled stand parts, the power brick and cord, a 6ft HDMI cable, and misc documentation. Assembling the monitor is toolless and quick and easy. The base of the stand is constructed of metal, possibly aluminum, and attaches to the plastic upright with a thumb screw. The upright features a channel with removable cover for cable management. Assembled, the monitor is super attractive. The bulk of the monitor is only ¼” thick, has no physical raised bezel, and the screen sports a matte finish. The chin, finished in silver, hides 4 miniscule buttons underneath with markings only for the power button. Once powered up, the default settings presented a sharp image with vivid colors and deep dark blacks. The IPS technology gives wide viewing angles and the “bezel” measures a scant ⅛”. Despite the lower 60 Hz rating, motions are smooth with no sign of ghosting or stutter. Settings are accessed by the aforementioned unmarked miniscule buttons and an on-screen display. Navigation is mostly intuitive. Aside from an issue with mine not waking up from sleep correctly (which could possibly be a settings issue that I just haven’t found), my only real complaint here is the price. There are many brand name monitors with similar specs that are notably cheaper. Maybe they don’t have as much ‘wow factor’ with the thin screen and small bezel, but is that enough to command the premium retail asking price? Well, that's up to you to decide.

Very nice 27" monitor that lessens eye strain
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very sleek and light monitor, with very little border around the edges, the way I like monitors. It does not have built-in speakers, which is one of the reasons it's so light. I generally use headphones, so not having speakers is not an issue for me. This model has HP's Eye Ease low blue-light system, which is supposed to lessen eye strain. The monitor has very vibrant colors and lots of options to choose from in it's on-screen menu (accessible from buttons on the bottom right of the monitor). The monitor tilts easily so you can view it at the angle you prefer. The monitor looks good whether you're surfing the web, playing games or watching videos. You can do two of those at the same time if you use AMD's Freesync, which allows you to split-screen two different programs. The stand has a hollow channel, allowing you to feed the various cables through it, if you want a less cluttered desktop. This model gives you a VGA connector and two HDMI connectors, in case you want to hook up a computer and a video game console or Blu-Ray player.

Great for day to day monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HP M27F monitor with the slim form factor, thin bezels and the silver colors make this thing looks sleek and modern. It is very bright with nice color reproduction. Setting it up is very simple just attach the stand and plug the HDMI cable or a VGA. This monitor is great for long hours viewing as the blue filter will help reduce the strain on your eyes. You can also connect your gaming consoles to it and take advantage of the freesync feature but the bad thing is that this monitor's refresh rate goes up to 70hz and you are limited to 1080P resolution. So far as gaming goes it will be good but not so great despite it having freesync and 5ms response time. One thing I noticed on this monitor that is not VESA compatible meaning you cannot wall mount it. That may not bother many of us but is good to mention. Overall this 27 inch monitor will suit great for regular day to day use and media consumption as the video also looks great on it. In the box you get the monitor, HDMI cable, the power cable and manuals.

My new favorite multi-purpose monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this all purpose monitor, 27" IPS LED from HP. This is the M27f, which I now have side by side with my older HP 27f, the differences are noticeable. First the construction, the M27f has a thinner frame and smaller bottom silver edge, giving it a sleek, modern profile. The overall footprint and thickness of this monitor is the slimmest of any I have seen in this size. The controls are at the bottom of the frame, with a power indicator light, power button and four menu buttons. The menu options are as expected, color, image options to include response time, sharpness, and image scaling. Other features are input, and auto switching, power management, menu customization, factory reset, and information screen. Input cables plug into the back, and include power and options for VGA and 2 x HDMI. Setup is simple, remove from box, attach stand (setup only available in landscape position), using included easy turn screw, plug in included HDMI cable if that's your preferred input, and it's done. The stand allows for forward / back tilt, but no swivel or screen rotation available. There is a cover at the back of the stand to support cable management, and the stand design is lightweight yet sturdy to prevent tipping or wobbling. Performance is what one would expect from a well made all purpose monitor. I use it as my daily work from home monitor, movies, and occasional gaming. While I think it excels in the daily work use category, this monitor holds its own for gaming and streaming due to FreeSync technology. I didn't test anything that would push the boundaries, but didn't have any stutter with games such as Ark. One new feature I love, HP has introduced a new feature called HP Eye Ease, it reduces blue light, but amazingly doesn't distort the color as many blue light filters do. Overall I think this is a fantastic multipurpose monitor, its lightweight, well constructed, hangs with the gaming crowd but is at home in the home office, and provides excellent graphics without the eye strain.
