Customers are saying
Customers commend the 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor for its large screen size, ease of use, and excellent quality, frequently praising its design and resolution. While some wish for built-in speakers and a higher refresh rate, many appreciate the monitor's lightweight design and the lack of eye strain. A few users noted the absence of a VESA mount and limitations with the stand's adjustability.

Great performance, good looks
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you need a larger monitor for regular computer work or even entertainment, it is hard to go wrong with the new HP M27F. It checks all the right boxes: Stylish, lightweight, super thin bezel and panel, bright vivid, sharp images. All perfect right out of the box. No adjustments needed, at least when connecting via HDMI. Just as good is the thoughtful no-tool assembly design. You DO have to install the stand but the piece that attaches to the back of the monitor just snaps in. The metal foot for stand does attach with a screw but there is a little folding loop attached to the top of the screw so you can just tighten it by hand, instead of rummage around for a screwdriver. It's a small thing but good to see a little thought being put into the design of consumer products that have to be assembled.. Easier is always better. You can attach this monitor to your computer via HDMI (there are two ports) or an old school VGA port. You may have to dig out a magnifying glass to find the tiny power switch (hidden underneath the right corner, with no markings on the front to indicate it is there) but that is about the only challenge in terms of setup. Image quality is excellent from the get-go. Strong blacks. Vivid, accurate colors. Very sharp. Great for the tiny text or numbers on some spreadsheets or stock-trading platforms. The kind of software that screams for a big computer monitor like this one. The screen has a matte finish, which banishes reflections. This is an IPS panel so it is fine for off-center viewing. Video from streaming services looks pretty darn good too but is not quite up the level of what you would see on a high-end 4K HDTV....but then you would hardly expect it to be at this price. Compared to other computer monitors, it looks as quite good. Neat freaks will be glad to know you can run the power and video cables through a hollow tube in the stand, therefore making them disappear, at least at desktop level. Even the packaging gets high marks. The monitor panel is protected inside a folding cardboard insert (no styrofoam!). Little cutouts in the same insert hold the power cables and (amazingly enough) even an HDMI cable. (Sorry, no VGA cable) Nicely done. Overall, it is hard to find much to complain about with this monitor. It looks great, works great and is not outlandishly expensive. It would be a good choice for anyone who needs a monitor of this size.

A great affordable monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impression: My first impression of the HP M27f monitor was that it is an attractive, well-made monitor. The packaging is excellent, and it came with a quick-start guide, monitor, and an HDMI cable. The monitor provides 2 HDMI ports and a single VGA port. You might think that providing an SVGA port instead of a DVI or DP connection is short-sighted, however, I am a network engineer and server admin, and I still have servers running that only have a VGA port. So, this monitor can be used to connect to these servers. Quality. The monitor is well made, and well thought out. Assembling this monitor was very easy. The stand uses a simple-to-use latching system that makes assembly fast and easy, and disassembly just as fast and easy. HP didn’t sacrifice ease of use for structural integrity, so while it is easy to assemble, it is also very sturdy. The stand has a cable channel that hides the video and power cable. The outer shell easily slides off so you can route the cables easily and then secure and hide them. Performance: The HP M27f monitor has an outstanding picture. The IPS display provides a great display and great color without glare. It is very easy on the eyes, which if you spend a lot of time every day in front of a monitor, your eyes won’t be as tired. What’s missing: There are some things missing from this monitor that are standard items on others. None of these are an issue in my use, but I felt obligated to point them out. First, there are no built-in speakers or audio handling in this monitor. There is no USB hub. There is no VESA mount, so it cannot be mounted on the wall, and there is no Display Port nor is there a DVI port. Conclusion: The HP M27f IPS monitor is a very thin, attractive, affordable display with a really good picture and easy-to-build stand system that requires no tools for assembly or teardown. While it is missing quite a few features that other monitors have, I prefer to buy my monitors based on the inputs I need and most importantly, the quality of the image. This monitor has an excellent image and has everything I need to have for my computers. I plan on buying a second one for dual display on my desktop. If you need a good monitor with a great image for a really good price, I highly recommend this monitor.

HP quality & good looks at a reasonable price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this to replace a first generation LED screen with VGA input, and the difference is outstanding - a really nice upgrade. My first impression after an easy setup (no tools) was the sleek, simplistic design. The super thin frame, silver color, and stand design make it the highlight of the desktop. First monitor I've owned that I actually want to leave a screensaver running on! Having it cycle through collective family photos, the contrast is great, colors bright and vivid. In use, the blue light filter & "Eye Ease" technology work to reduce strain over long sessions. I had found myself using "dark themes" to reduce over saturation, but have now changed back to enjoy the crisp look without having to endure tired eyes. There does seem to be a recognizable difference. I have this connected to an older desktop, but since it does have 2 HDMI ports, I connected the laptop to do some streaming/gaming, and the performance was excellent. If there is a downside to this monitor, it's the lack of an HDMI pass-through for audio. All in all, the good looks, excellent performance, and easy on the eyes technology make this a solid choice without breaking the bank.

No more eye strain
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many people nowadays, I have to spend many hours in front of a computer monitor as I work from home. After spending 10 to 12 hours infront of a monitor for 5 days a week, my eyes would be killing me. Of course I ended up getting a screen filter for my monitor, but who likes to actually use these? Now that I have my 27" HP monitor, I don't have to worry about my eyes straining and ending up with a massive headache. Not only has my eye strain gone away, but this monitor produces a very nice clear picture with the FHD display and looks very sleek. It is super thin with a nice modern base. It is extremely easy to set up and connect. It comes with 2 HDMI ports and 1 VGA port. My only complaint is that instead of adding the VGA port, they should have just added another HDMI port. Once you have it set up, you can easily adjust the response time and sharpness. Another great feature is that you can easily adjust the monitor and still get a great viewing angle. Overall, you can't go wrong with this 27" HP monitor.

Good value monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP - 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor (2 x HDMI, VGA) - Silver and Black The 27” HP monitor is large with 3 inputs, 2 HDMI and 1 VGA. The monitor does not have speakers so you will need another means for sound. It has no VESA mounting option so the included stand is it. The included stand will tilt back 22.6° and forward 3.9°. It is not height adjustable putting the bottom of the monitor at 3.25” from the desk. The stand has a small compartment built in for cable management. Color clarity is beautiful and clean. Sharpness is spot on without being eye straining. The IPS LED panel it cleanly viewable from above or below at extreme angles. However it does have some contrast and color fade when viewed beyond 135° from either side. This shouldn’t be an issue with that being well outside a normal viewing angle. I found that there is only vary slight motion blur when set to it’s stated fastest refresh rate. Going above that the motion blur was still acceptable because things are moving and you really are not concentrating on one spot. I wouldn’t call it a gaming monitor, but I also would be afraid to use it as one. It is very thin and will have a very small footprint on your desk. The lack of the VESA mount is caused by how thin it is. For the price range it is an overall good option. Just make sure you will never want to mount it on a stand. The lack of the VESA option may put this monitor out of the running for some users.

Perfect for those wanting larger text/icons
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very purpose-driven monitor. At 27" with a 1080p resolution, you've got a resolution that many find in a 24" monitor stretched much further to make it easier to read text, see pictures, etc... Key Notes: Description mentions it but NO VESA mounting and no height adjustment. Also there's no display port connection on this monitor. Taking it out of the box is simplicity itself as the included stand snaps into place. A small d-ring screw on the base of the stand secures it in place and a small pressure tab locks the monitor to the stand. The monitor sits relatively low to the surface but it has a lot of tilt available to make sure you're able to see the screen well. That being said I would not recommend this screen for taller folk. For the more regular height folk I had sit in front of it, it worked fine. Screen quality is good, color contrast provided good reproduction, and due to it being an IPS screen your viewing angles were pretty stellar. Response time was quick enough that I didn't notice any trailing while playing a couple of games. Overall this monitor is a great productivity tool as it allows you to really spread out your material or for users who don't have the greatest eyesight, this will add that slightly enlarged view that should help their viewing.

Use VGA, not HDMI...this time anyway.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great looking screen display! Ok, gave this as a gift for Christmas so I did not hook it up. Also, this was cabled to a new lower end Lenovo desktop (also a gift). My guess is that the monitor was connected to the tower via the HDMI cable? The monitor would flash on and off quite a bit right after start-up and continue less frequently the more time online. After some troubleshooting & eliminating, it turns out that the VGA cable needed to be used, not the HDMI... and viola...the flashing on the screen stopped! Have not heard of any other issues for the last week+, so looks like all is good! Time will tell for longevity and reliability. Not going to rate for quality, that's a review as more time goes by. They are enjoying the new larger, crisper screen very much!

Sharp, bright, easy to adjust
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Review for HP - 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor (2 x HDMI, VGA) - Silver and Black I haven’t had a new monitor in a few years, so I was super impressed by how much they have improved. This 27” monitor from HP is so light and easy to adjust. The tilt is perfect for setting the viewing angle for users of different heights. The stand is solid and holds the monitor firmly. The brightness of the screen is excellent and easily adjusted. I use it for video work, so the color accuracy, which is excellent, is very important to me. I especially like the always-on blue light filter, since I can spend a lot of hours staring at my display. An excellent monitor all around. I really appreciate that is comes with an HDMI cable!

Great features at a great price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looking at this monitor for hours on end hasn't been tiring for me at all. The colors pop but the screen never appears harsh. The design is very sleek and modern, and looks great on my desk. While this is not a pro-grade photography or video monitor, the color is accurate enough to dabble in photo and video editing. 27" is perfect size for productivity, though I wouldn't go any bigger without upping resolution to 1440p. 27" is about the absolutely max you would want at 1080p resolution for clarity. For the price, I have been very happy with this screen for daily use, with occasional multimedia editing.
