No 3.5mm audio input, external speakers required

The VGA input is useless due to the monitor is lacking a 3.5mm audio input. - 30 minutes later - connected HDMI to PC and can't get any sound out of it. Checked drivers, etc... wondering if it has speakers LOL! - Connecting external speakers and calling it a day.
