Customers are saying

Customers find value in the large screen size, excellent price, and ease of use of the 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor. The clarity and design also receive positive feedback. However, some customers wish it included speakers and a sturdier stand, while others note the lack of a VESA mount and that the refresh rate is limited. The screen's susceptibility to glare is also a point of contention for some users.

I would not purchase this monitor again. I hooked this up to my lenovo notebook to use as the main monitor. Text and icons are blurry no matter what the resolution. Hurts my eyes just looking at it. I would return it if I could. Don't waste your money on this monitor. Purchase a different one. I am shocked at how poor the quality is.

Picked this up on sale, as it seems to alternate being on every week. Still not worth it, as it had the worst IPS glow I'd ever seen (corners were a light green if displaying dark images). Also, viewing angles were terrible, worse than the TN screen I was replacing. I can see why it's often so cheap, but not worth it to me and returned.

The price was right but after a month it started flickering and has an off tint to it. It's now past the return date for best buy and we are stuck with it.

The viewing angles are poor on this monitor, and the resolution is not high enough at 27 inches. Do not buy this unless you really cannot spend more than 110 dollars for a monitor. Even at that price, I do not recommend this monitor because the build quality is incredibly subpar compared to other monitors. The one that I bought had buttons that did not even function correctly for controlling the menus. The IPS panel itself is incredibly "smeary" looking, and I seriously could not work with text on this monitor at all. Good luck to anyone who uses this monitor for their workflow.

We returned these monitors because they didn't have the VESA mount option on the back. I specifically searched for monitors that were mount-able.

Some basic items you would expect from any new monitor is less screen bleed, adjustable height, and usb-c input. It doesn’t have any of them. It’s low res and for not much more you can buy a 4K monitor.

I bought this in store- online pickup. The box had some damage and apparently whatever happened damaged the unit. It had stripes running down the screen when I hooked it up. Disappointing

I purchased this particular monitor because it had so many good reviews. The one I received must be defective because the resolution on it is TERRIBLE. It's going back.

At this sale price of $110, the monitor is an incredible bargain. I was skeptical hearing about issues with macs but I felt that the resolution and clarity is more than sufficient for the professional work I need it for. The build is gorgeous and the screen is very bright and colorful. Very easy to purchase and set up, I would fully recommend to anyone considering this product.

Please don't waste your money on this monitor. The charger has a tiny cord at the end. It doesn't hold the charger port well and the monitor keeps switching off and on. I bought another cord and the same problem exits. It was badly built and HP can do better than that. It didn't last me for 2 months. I am going to try another brand.

Initially I loved the big screen of this monitor but soon I hated the wobbly base which moves a lot with every repositioning attempt. So I learned to not move it too much around. It’s really flimsy quality fir the price. One month after I bought it the RGB colors aren’t synchronized and the edges of the objects on the screen look hazy. Wish I could return it. Pls don’t buy this. Also, the buttons underneath the monitor are difficult to use unless you are hyper mobile.

Bought the open box Excellent version online... Damage on the corner. Not even sure if the thing works because it didn't come with a power cord or hdmi. Kind of a joke really. I went to the store before noticing the monitor damage thinking all I needed were the cords, and they weren't able to find any of the cords for me, so I left empty handed. Then came back home and noticed the damage. Definitely returning today.

    A Great Monitor

For a 27 inch monitor, the box was very light. Next I unpacked the screen. It has a thin micro-edge on sides, top and is quite thin. It is almost completely viewable screen with on the bottom half, a little bigger. It was a simple operation to put the stand together with the screen, just two steps. You slide a piece of the stand on the monitor and then screw in the base. This 27 inch monitor (which is larger than I suspected) is loaded with features and that can help you get the best picture possible, whatever you taste. Viewing modes include: Low Blue Light, Reading, HP Enhance +, Gaming – Free Sync AMD, Movie, Photo and Custom. While the Controls listed for even more viewing customization and information: Contrast, Color, Input, Image, Power, Movie and Management. The HP monitor also has some really cool settings that are worth noting. The viewing angle is 178 degrees! Which means you can see from the extreme sides. The monitor doesn’t lose color and screen erosion because of the IPS (In Plane Switching) that allows the LCD screen to be very clear working with the LED backlight part of the screen. With great wide viewing angle, the Monitor has another great feature that tilts the monitor 178 degrees forward to back. This is great depending on where you place the Monitor. The resolution is an amazing 1920x1080 full HD. And just as amazing is the contrast which is 10,000,000:1. The brightness that the screen produces is clearly seen in even in rooms that are bright. Interesting to note is the “FreeSync Technology”. It basically allows the frame rate to “sync” with any AMD graphics card. Meaning that what you see will be in time with the monitor. I plugged a NES Classic into the monitor through one of the monitor’s two HDMI ports. Now the NES Classic is not know for graphics but the clarity of the gaming system was astounding! It looked better than the HD TV I use with it. Also connected with the monitor’s HDMI port (2 HDMI ports total) to my computer and played some games in HD. The picture did not disappoint at all. The computer games came to life with clarity, color and contrast. The big difference connecting to a game system and using it with a computer, is there is no sound/speaker when connecting to a game system. You do get sound when connected to the computer because it already speakers. The refresh rate is 75hz and 5 milliseconds which is very acceptable when watching or playing in Full HD. Watched a DVD and some Netflix and the picture performed as described, and if you didn’t like what you see, as stated earlier there are many options for you choose to produce the best possible looking screen. There are 5 square buttons on the bottom right of the screen. The first one on the right is power. Buttons 2 and 5 allow the user to choose the menu options or controls. Buttons 3 and 4 allow you to bring up the scroll between the option on Controls and Menus. It is a simple setup and after you have done it a few times, it is easy to get the hang of it. As mentioned earlier the Monitor has 2 HDMI in ports and even a VGA input if you had an older computer. A nice surprise was that the HP Monitor included a HDMI cable. The power cable is a thin cord you plug into a brick and from the brick to the outlet. Overall, I was impressed with the functionality and options on this monitor. Controls are easy to use and so was setup. The 75hz and 5 milliseconds work great together for game play. Loved the super thin bezel on 3 sides, the monitor is literally all screen which is great. And the 27 inch monitor provided a really big, but nice size to look at.

The monitor itself looks nice and functioned properly. However I am unimpressed with the clarity. Screen is too large for such low resolution, I will be returning.
