This service takes the guesswork out of ordering ink, but also takes the freedom to print as many pages as you'd like too. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth to be charged to print pages from my own printer, but I know to some people the easy of use will win out.

great program, it is nice to always have ink available for the printer.

My level of printing seems to fall in dead zone between limited printing and largescale printing. In addition, HP takes over the printer and takes away the use of alternatives. For me, this is too much control over my printing options. Paid for but didn't use after researching pros and cons. I think I can do fine buying ink when I need it online - about every 15 months for color/ sooner for black.

HP website wouldn't let me sign up for this. Since I wasn't successful in doing it within 7 days I also missed out on a free month of ink. There is a lot of sm. print the sales guy didn't tell me. I emailed HP and never heard back from them. So I wasted $9.99 for 300 copies. I'm going back to buying a cartridge but getting the 61XL to get more copies. The printer uses a lot of ink even on drafts..
