The computer fits well, but the case would not be adequate protection if it were dropped, or if something fell on it, as the case is made of a soft fabric. I only purchased this case for this particular use, as it was during the holidays, and selection options were limited. I would recommend it, as long as it was not being purchased for protection against drops.
