Customers appreciate the performance, graphics capabilities, and value for the price of this 16.1" laptop. Many also highlight the positive build quality and display. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and some find the fan noise and weight to be drawbacks. The lack of a number pad is also a recurring point of feedback.

Review
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First gaming laptop I’ve ever had, and is pretty fun to use besides the fact that it does tend to be noisy when charging. Is also kind of on the heavier side compared to newer models.

Just what I was looking for
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop to replace an older Dell desktop and I'm extremely impressed. Hit the power button in the morning and I'm on the Internet before I'm even settled into my chair. It's very quick and efficient and setup out of the box was painless. The laptop itself looks nice and the construction feels sturdy. It can be prone to fingerprints, but I've yet to see a laptop that isn't. I plan on using this laptop for everyday browsing and music recording software. I'm not much of a PC gamer, but I wanted something that would allow me to play games if I so desired and I plan on hooking this laptop up to an external display and a set of speakers. The only real nitpick I have is that it doesn't have a webcam cover, but stick a piece of black electrical tape over it and you're done! This is the first time I've ever owned a computer made by HP and I've always heard good things about their products. I'm definitely a believer now!

Gaming
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this pc for 2 years now it have not really had any issues with the computer only just that the space is a bit too small if you use more for gaming purpose than for like a everyday computer.

Love it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this new laptop for almost a week now. It's replacing an aging Alienware laptop that I've had for over 5 years and is a victim of spilled coffee. Wasn't sure how well I'd like Windows 11, but so far so good. This new one is an open box-excellent (which the Alienware was) purchase which I think literally they opened the box and looked at it. It's fast and responsive and will do everything I need it to do. I will use it as I did my old one to play games (not a big time gamer), business related things including photo editing. Will see how it goes for the next 5 years. This laptop doesn't have a touch screen, but I never used that anyway and is exactly double the ram and hard drive of the old one. The screen is a matt texture instead of the clear glass type, but again not a big deal. Clarity is very good. I had this set up within a day and have been getting accounts etc. on it. Very satisfied with the purchase. May my Alienware RIP.

PC
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the performance of this PC is great. I bought it for programming at my CNC shop. The battery is horrible. But I think that’s due to its operating systems. It only lasts about 1hr of continuous use if on a full battery. You will need to keep this plugged into its power cord it’s whole life.

Great purchase
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty beasty laptop. I’ve played indie to AAA games on here and have had little to no issues. Only thing I would say is a potential negative is the coolant system. It can get a little noisy sometimes. But I personally don’t mind it at all.

Good Buy
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use it exclusively to play Call of Duty, but also good for work. Fan is a little loud but it doesn’t overheat with playing time over 60 minutes sometimes

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent laptop. I bought this as an open box item at a Best Buy store and was very nervous that it was not going to work properly. It has been 2 months now and works perfectly fine! I also get to play Hogwarts Legacy at high performance settings which is awesome!

Great little computer
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's ended up being a great little computer that keeps up pretty well with the best of them. This thing chugs along like the world's tiniest train. Holds up to The Sims4...with mods. That says more than you might think.

I Like It
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new computer due to my Mac losing charge easily and I did not want to buy another. This computer meets all of my needs! Decent battery, good graphics, and even though it’s big, it has a lot of memory space. I would recommend.

First Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first gaming laptop so i dont have much to compare this to other than a desktop. Graphics on games look great and run smooth. Fan is loud when running at max speed which it will need because this laptop gets hot. In my experience, battery power lasts around 3-4 hours of gaming without plugging in.

Attractive, fast, WFH with ease
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a fast, capable laptop upgrade to handle the demands of a new remote job. I also just built a PC with RGB fans for fun, and the HP Omen looks fantastic next to it. Work has never been so entertaining as when done on an illuminated keyboard with user-configurable backlighting. The Omen exceeded the specs required by my employer and blazes through tasks without lag or buffering (helped by my high speed broadband internet connection over an Ethernet cable). This is one of the few laptop models with an Ethernet port carried by Best Buy, for anyone who needs extra security. The fans keep it from overheating during an eight hour workday despite prodigious processing power. The HP Omen did well on Cinebench CPU and graphics benchmark tests, outperforming a Threadripper CPU in comparisons, and plays video with impressive clarity. Very pleased with this purchase.

Decent, but creature cumforts missing.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid laptop for gaming, i miss my tenkey, but not the size required to house it, i do wish there was a CD drive and i really dont understand why the trackpad is so big. but i am among those that disable trackads pretty much as soon as its activated lol. I like that the power cord comes out the center back, no fighting with it, wish there were more than two usp ports however its cool that there is all the other ports for things like headphones so i only miss it when im using my drawing software and CD drive, but thats when im on my desktop anyway so i have a usb port anyway so again, not missed. Five stars, however id probably go with a different brand to get more of the things im used to having next time.

Power hungry
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is a powerhouse, but comes with some major drawbacks. Gaming laptops do have a tendency to be louder and more power hungry than other more daily use laptops, but this one seems excessive. I have used others that have performance when you need it, but efficiency is not sacrificed. This laptop is very loud and power hungry, and in the time I had it I could not seem to dial that in. If you have the ability to have this thing plugged in all of the time, I would say it's not a bad option. Otherwise, there are better options if you are looking for an all rounder.

Powerhouse in Disguise
|Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ditched my old laptop for the HP Omen 16 and haven't looked back. This sleek laptop tackles any game I throw at it with smooth visuals thanks to the powerful processor and RTX graphics. Plus, the surprisingly long battery life lets me game from anywhere. The comfy keyboard and cool (literally) design make it perfect for work too. It's a beast without the gamer-y screams, perfect for conquering in-game foes and crushing deadlines.
