battery went out after 5 months. dont add an ssd or you will void the warranty as per best buy. totaltech will not help you. battery is not covered and neither is ac adapter. better off buying directly form hp with their added insurance. 1700 down the drain in 5 months. battery never lasted more than an hour and a half of web browsing. power saver, dim screen no keylight will not help you.

Bought it on sale because I needed something better than my iPad for classes in the Spring. I didn’t expect a very long battery based on other reviews, but holy cow, there has the be an issue with the machine I got. First night I had it, I charged it to 100% before even turning it on. Dead within an hour. This morning, charged it to 100% again, I ordered a pizza after unplugging it, and just as I finished paying for the pizza, it died again. At least it had the curtesy to let me order my food. 5 stars for that I guess.

The one I purchased was an open box and it was heating up very quickly. Not sure if it was because it was already defective. The computer was also very bulky, not my style.

Great computer super-fast amazing screen. The only thing that holds it back to being a 5 star is a pretty big issue. If I am using the click on the touchpad and the laptop is on my lap and my wrist is wresting on it the touchpad doesn't "unclick" it will only unclick if I remove my wrist from the laptop which is to the left side of the trackpad and not actually on it. It causes some annoying issues it has been knocked to a 3 because I mean a functioning touchpad is definitely a MUST in a laptop especially at this price.

Everything you could ever want in a gaming laptop. It was worth every dollar.
