A cautionary tale.

This should've been a great computer for my son. He does a great deal of accounting work and needed an up-to-date machine with plenty of RAM and processing speed to help complete his work. I picked this laptop up for him as a Christmas present on a great Black Friday deal from Best Buy. However, when he began loading his accounting software, the computer began acting weird and within twenty minutes the OS froze up.
He restored the OS, but it was acting very sluggish and still had problems loading the software he needed on the laptop.
In frustration, the laptop was returned to Best Buy.
So, just be careful when looking at this particular model of HP laptops.
I must give Best Buy outstanding marks for dealing with me during the purchase of the computer and with the return. They were friendly, helpful, and highly professional throughout the whole process.

So, my graphics card just wouldn’t play nice with my laptop, so I took it to Geek Squad, but they couldn’t quite fix it. On the bright side, Best Buy totally nailed it by helping me find a new computer to buy! And the return was a breeze with the old laptop.

After a month of use it decides not to turn on fully or just not turn on at all. I take in to geek squad to be charged $200 to fix it. Apparently warranty doesn’t cover what is wrong with it but it clearly says parts and labor 1 year coverage…… just not what I have going on of course. Don’t bother buying computers from this place and either just build one or get straight from a manufacturer.

I bought it open box and it lasted about a month or so then the CPU started overheating bad to where the PC would shut off, I did some fixes with the software and it helped for a few days then I replaced the thermal paste and it helped for another month, now it's overheating again. I'm going to try and trade it in for some money towards Asus or something else more reliable

I don't know if it is the computer or the software, but I've had nothing but trouble. I bought it hoping for excellent video streaming over Zoom. It locked-up the first time I used it in a meeting with 65 people in attendance. The mouse keeps losing bluetooth connection so I have to revert to the touch pad (which I don't care for). Zoom doesn't recognize the imbedded camera so I had to attach a remote camera. I'll probably return it. Way too much $$ for this level of annoyance.

SO when i bought this item it was having audio issues and then graphical issues when i got ot out the box it was a complete waste of my money knowing we need to test before selling things at a high price

Omg it’s packed with HW!!!
….yes but HP sucks at making the glue (firmware/drivers) to make use of that hw. You’re buying a PC that COULD be great, except for all the hp bloatware and custom PCB boards that suck, and licking down the UEFI so you can’t even use it meaningfully.

Purchased for my son as it was on sale and competitively priced with other laptops he could use for school. Unfortunately, the computer failed to boot up after about a week of light use. BestBuy customer service was great and they gave us a full return. I didn't realize it was an HP product, or I wouldn't have purchased it. My more computer literate friends had warned me away from their products as what they produce is mostly disposable and not serviceable. Will not be purchasing any HP products again.

If I had it to do over, I would not buy this laptop. It has good features but the touch pad is crap. I frequently have to hit enter 3-5 times to get it to register

I bought the ASUS FIG 16. First time opening it it had a screen issue. Then I returned it and got this. There is no hole to PLUG THE CHARGER IN??? HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE on a laptop. This is ridiculous they are theives. This is the worst place to buy a laptop.

Laptop worked great for about 2 weeks and then wouldn’t stop turning off on its own and restarting. Will be returning it.

Excellent! I highly recommend this labor. It's high speed and great for gaming. I love the graphics.
