This computer's overall performance is very poor. The color is dull no matter how I try to brighten it. The cursor consistently gets stuck on a black line even thought I sent it in for repair

Performance and price point come together in this gaming laptop, in a nice little package. The RTX5060 handles medium to high gaming demands without issue. Others have stated battery life issues to be subpar and I concur. Although switching to the integrated graphics of the Ryzen 9 CPU while on battery, and lowing the power demanding processes in the settings, can get you double the battery you would otherwise have. Plugged in, this unit performs well. Heat issues are a non factor, although the fans are noticeably audible when the system is working. I’ve had this unit just under a month and it has performed exactly as I expected it to. Recommend to find on sale.

This HP Omen has been a great pickup for gaming and daily use. Performance is excellent — it handles demanding games and heavy multitasking without breaking a sweat, and the display is bright with smooth, vibrant visuals thanks to the high refresh rate. Build quality feels premium and the keyboard is comfortable for both gaming and typing. The main downside is battery life, which drains quickly under gaming loads, so keep the charger handy if you’re moving around. Fans can also get loud under heavy use. Overall, if you want strong performance in a laptop that doesn’t look overly “gamer,” this is a solid choice.

Excellent performance and a great 2K 144Hz display. The Ryzen 9 and RTX 5060 handle modern games and multitasking with ease, and 32GB of RAM is a big plus. Build quality feels solid and thermals are well-managed. My only real complaint is the trackpad—it works fine but doesn’t feel as responsive or premium as the rest of the laptop. Majority of users will use a mouse so its not that big of an issue. Battery life is average for a gaming laptop, but overall this is a strong and reliable choice.

I love this computer! I was running photoshop and lightroom for my photo editing without any issues most of the time. It does need to be raised up or have an extra cooling fan with it cause after 4-5 hours it did get hot and start to have issues. However I think this is the case with laptops in general. The battery lasted only about an hour or so while running the editing software but it is to be expected since each program uses about 8g to run. After having a 15 year old computer which takes about 15 min to open, this Omen is luxury! Everything is so fast and I love how you can change which mode that you are using and how you can turn the fans on for a blast of cooling when needed. Im so glad that I purchased this model!

Battery life isn’t good, but it’s expected from a gaming laptop. Wanted something portable and wanted to upgrade from my desktop. Super smooth and great for gaming. The software used to control the fans and cooling is super easy to use and love how you can set it to run at max all the time. Super sleek and good looking design. Also easy to clean if you have a very small Phillips you can pop the back off and clean the fans out.

Good buying experience showed up ontime, and undamaged. Pros: It runs the games I want to run with great fps, versatile, decent storage. "Cons": terrible battery life, a lot of fan noise (your gonna have that with a gaming pc), minor bugs and glitches. Overall, pretty decent product it has its issues, but everything does. Hope this helped :)

I love this laptop!! Its my 1st "gaming computer" but i absolutely love everything about it, except the battery life is really bad but i pretty much keep mine pluged in all the time, I only play it at home. And i dont know if bad battery life is just par for the course in a gaming laptop or not because like i said this is my first one. But other than that i love it, great quality, cool design, powerful. The display is good, its not top tier like an oled screen but i wasn't about to pay hundreds of more dollars for a screen upgrade, this screen is more than serviceable. Runs everything i play and i got it on sale cant beat that.

I was recommended this laptop by a BestBuy employee. I do a lot of video editing and gaming and this laptop is so much faster than my old one. It's not too heavy and the graphics are beautiful. There are also side vents which stops the laptop from getting too hot.

This is easily the best laptop ive had. Sure the battery life unplugged is shorter than you would want or expect, however to get the most performance out of any gaming laptop you need to be plugged in anyway. Its light-weight, powerul, and just overall a beautiful machine. Would give it 10 stars if I could

The HP Omen is an amazing machine. The speed, performance, and display are all top-notch. There is only one downside, and it could be a deal breaker for mobile users. The battery life isn't great. On the Eco setting, I can get about 5 to 6 hours of use just doing regular browsing or working in Word or Excel. But if you try to play a game on the battery, you are lucky if you can get a couple of hours before it's at 20%. The battery life is not something that really concerns me, because I intend to dock it and use it as my primary desktop. The fact that I can undock it and use it as a laptop is an added benefit for me. The laptop does get hot when it's running at max output, so make sure you have it on a surface where it can get good air intake. Some reviews have said the fan is loud, but I don't notice it. The Omen has been able to run every game I have thrown at it without any issues. If you can catch it on sale, like I did, it's totally worth it.

Laptop is very powerful, and thermals even under 100% load is great (85/87 c). The laptop frame is solid and does not bend easily. Fans are on the quiter side for laptops but you will still notice them. Only issues with the laptop is the hp/omen software, on idle by default the cpu will draw ~30 to ~40 watts, but performance was not really affected (difference of less than 5-8 fps on games). I can get roughly 2 hours of use out of the box, normal for a gaming laptop. Before you buy check if the laptop contains liquid metal paste or cryonic compound, those two are are conductive and can damage the laptop if you try to replace it. If you dont plan on changing either one of those yourself it will not be an issue. Solid buy if on sale, but consider getting rid of the hp bloatware.

I purchased the HP Omen 16 (2025) with 32GB RAM, RTX 5060, 1TB SSD, and Ryzen 9 HX, and it has exceeded my expectations. Performance is incredibly smooth for both gaming and 3D modeling. The RTX 5060 handles modern games on high settings with great frame rates, and the Ryzen 9 with 32GB RAM makes multitasking effortless. The 1TB SSD ensures fast boot times and plenty of storage. Cooling is solid, and the build quality feels premium. Overall, an excellent balance of power and value. Highly recommend!

I cannot tell you this thing is better than others. I don’t have a lot to compare it to. My old computer was the HP pavilion. All I can tell you is this computer is very fast, the battery life is about 30 minutes of gaming. I use it on a cooling pad and it runs ice cold. It is a beautiful laptop and I don’t have anything to complain about except I wish it had a display port. But you can run an HDMI cord to achieve 144 HZ to a monitor.

A very impressive laptop! It can run a huge variety of games (on "can i run it" it can run 99 of the most popular games) it isn't super heavy and it's a great size. My biggest gripes is that it does get hot kinda quickly and it is kinda loud in my opinion. I cant say much about the battery life because my girlfriend uses it for her programs and when i use it i leave it plugged in so I'm not sure how long the battery actually last but for the price i got it for, it is a fantastic laptop.

This was such a good purchase. The laptop is fast, the graphics are great, and the laptops features are really geared towards gaming but also professional use if your in the tech or digital space. The battery does not last but with a laptop that is as powerful as this one... I would not expect it to keep up without it adding some serious heft to it which then it would lose laptop functionality. Would 100% purchase again!!!

This is a great computer. I needed a more powerful CPU and a separate GPU, and this computer has both. It also has enough memory that I don't need to force quit a lot of applications before I can open something new. There are complaints in other reviews about the fan noise. I do hear the fan, but I actually only notice it when the fan turns off. I don't notice at all when the fan turns on. The only two features I wish it had were a touch screen and a thunderbolt port.

The 16-inch HP OMEN is an excellent computer for video games and heavy tasks. Thanks to its AMD Ryzen 9 processor and NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics card, it offers incredible power to run modern games with total fluidity. Its 2K screen at 144Hz shows very clear images and smooth movements. In addition, with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD drive, you can open many programs at the same time and save large files without slowing down the machine. Its black design is very elegant for school or work.

Love this laptop so far! Runs any game I've thrown at it at high settings and also looks beautiful hooked up to my 75" ?ini led tv with gaming inputs. My only complaint would be the battery life, which is terrible. But I didn't expect much, given the high end specs of this and it's also known that to achieve the high level of performance this is capable of, it needs to be plugged in. Not a deal breaker because I didn't buy this for portability outside of the home. Fans can be a bit noisy (just air noise) at times, but again not a big deal. I think the 17" size is perfect for any situation and if you want bigger for gaming it's simple to add an external monitor. I think anyone just getting into gaming and even a seasoned gamer would be happy with this as a whole. I purchased an "open box in excellent condition" for a significant discount and it looks and works like new. Also while the display looks great and works fine, if I was ordering one new, I might consider the upgrade to a 1440p or oled display. But at this price point, you're getting a lot of bang for your buck and I have no complaints.
