Amazing Laptop if you can catch on sale.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Omen is an amazing machine. The speed, performance, and display are all top-notch. There is only one downside, and it could be a deal breaker for mobile users. The battery life isn't great. On the Eco setting, I can get about 5 to 6 hours of use just doing regular browsing or working in Word or Excel. But if you try to play a game on the battery, you are lucky if you can get a couple of hours before it's at 20%. The battery life is not something that really concerns me, because I intend to dock it and use it as my primary desktop. The fact that I can undock it and use it as a laptop is an added benefit for me. The laptop does get hot when it's running at max output, so make sure you have it on a surface where it can get good air intake. Some reviews have said the fan is loud, but I don't notice it. The Omen has been able to run every game I have thrown at it without any issues. If you can catch it on sale, like I did, it's totally worth it.

Great but has started crashing after only a couple
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this gaming laptop, it is everything I wanted and makes gaming fun, fast, and powerful. The only thing is my laptop has been crashing and I've only had it a couple months, so I will be getting that looked at by Geek Squad since I'm not sure if it because it is overheating or what the heck is going on. Hope I can get this crap figured out so it can stop interrupting my schooling and gaming! Also, I have to keep it plugged in when gaming since I game for hours and the battery on this thing doesn't last all that long.

Perfect for traveling
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for when working out of town to play video games. I have a i7, 5070 super ti in my desktop at home and this laptop can keep up and play any games as my desktop with obvious slight graphic changes but im still running 70-90 fps on high-uktra settings. Only upset is the screen is a tad small and kind of hard to see some of the smaller aspects. Hard to transition from my 27" at home to the 16" on the laptop but once used to it, its perfect for in a pinch when out of town.

Great but battery hungry…
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is powerful. Runs current AAA GAMES no problem. My only complaint and the reason why I’m only giving 4 stars is the battery life isn’t great. Just casual web searching and YouTube will drain the battery in less than an hour even in eco mode and with graphics and performance turned down. Highly recommend if you are gonna be near a power outlet, but for travel and mobility probably not the best.

Decent for it's Value
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great performance, suits basic school and office needs. Does well at most games (performance heavy). Not the biggest fan of the dedicated buttons (e. G. Copilot key, predator) especially since it has replaced existing keys such as the numlovk key or the giant 0 key. Biggest drawback for a portable device is the battery life (lasts 3-3.5 hrs) with moderate levle of strain.

Great Laptop, but only for the right price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop on sale for $1279, you cant find these specs for less than $1300 currently. The laptop isn’t perfect but, in my experience thus far, its a great laptop. It crushes any game I have thrown at it on high/ultra depending on the title. Like someone else mentioned, the screen does have some sort of weird aspect ratio which I eventually got used to. It is loud when gaming but its trying to keep everything cool in a small space… noise levels are within my expectations; cant really hear it with my headset on. If you can get it at or under $1300, its a good deal. At almost $1600, I would rather spend the extra money for a lenovo.

Don’t forget to bring your charger anywhere you go
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it’s a good option for a mid tier gaming experience. It run most of my games (EA play and Xbox app) on a high quality without any issues. Another positive thing is that it doesn’t make a lot of noises compared to other gaming laptops. The only down side is the battery life which doesn’t last more than an hour on a the hybrid mode . You’ll need to have your charger at all times.

Great processing power & Speed with great Graphics
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Laptop handles like a champ for most Games though do keep in mind it just as easily gets hot quickly and to keep it elevated on a cooling pad or laptop stand as it’ll need to keep those cooling fans running- just some friendly advice, also from experience if it does overheat it will automatically go turn it’s self off as a security feature I believe. I’ve also been using this Laptop for some CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) as a mechanical inclined person- hoping to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering & Design someday. Still yet to experiment with all the graphics cards and settings though as this is the first high end Gaming Laptop I’ve ever bought- so hopefully I’ll get back to you all in another updated review in the future on that. Also Note that this Laptop will use a lot of energy/ battery power processing higher end games graphics. Ect…… so it’s good to keep the charger on hand as I’ve got it down to 10 % or less battery unplugged in 4 to 3 hours or less though that’s the cost better graphics and processing power as a trade off just to keep in mind. One more thing to add sometimes I’ve experienced a slight lag (1 to 3 seconds) of graphics/ display delay switching from one tab to another quickly only after using the laptop for several hours though and being a little hot with around 20 tabs open and sometimes going from my game to discord.

HP Omen 16” Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop runs extremely well. I use this for engineering and architecture programs and it works extremely well. For games, it is quick and smooth. However, the battery life does not last very long. As long as you can find ways to conserve the battery, it works great. Always have the charger by you.

gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great display and ok performance for the AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX, 32GB DDR5 should have more power if you use the high performance and try to play the game the fab will be on 24/7 you have to adjust the game setting to good to get the fan working normally as needed. I had weird issue with laptop that the web browser will have a glitch black wide line every time i hover the mouse to the top of the page i try everything you thing of after even reset the computer try it again issue still happing , when you pay this much money for laptop you expected everything will works good as should be, I'm not saying its a bad laptop maybe its one piece have this multiple issue but in general the laptop looks good and this just an honest review to what i had with this laptop.

In a way its ok at best…
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is hyped up for its “amazing fan” that is has to keep your laptop cool at all times … this laptop gets so hot It couldve burnt a hole through my desk. Another thing is the battery life is so short you go from 100% to 20% within minutes. My account seems to get logged out so I have to constantly resign in to enter my pin to get into my laptop. All of this happens even when you have absoluetly no games downloaded yet. Not sure why not a single authetic review video was made.

Best Laptop for that casual gamer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an HP OMEN from 2016 that I used heavily while being in the military, deployed 2 times, and gamed hard on it for almost 10 years. It was great for what I needed. It finally started to show its age and I decided to buy another OMEN. Thankfully, HP came out with this new OMEN that's far beyond what I had, and it's fantastic. For the price, I feel that it beats other laptops in the mid-tier space. I've always wanted more than low-tier but could never afford top-tier stuff, so if you want something that works well for basically any game, streaming, social media, school work, and all-around machine that can do it all, this is it. You can put another NVMe SSD for more storage, and RAM is upgradable but 32 GB is enough. And connecting to an external monitor is super easy if you go that route. All in all, its a great Laptop that should last close to 10 yrs or more.

Absolute BEAST.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll admit that I'm new to pc gaming. This seemed like a good purchase to get my feet wet. I'm a college student and a gamer, so I needed something that could handle heavy use. This has exceeded that expectation. Not only am I able to run multiple programs at a time with zero issues, but I can also play my favorite games like ARC Raiders on the highest settings with buttery smooth performance. Coming from console, it seems extravagant and excessive and I love every minute of it.

So Sweet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this thing up for on sale for $1300 and some change! So far it has been nothing short of amazing! I had an omen back in 2000 had at 10th gen intel with a rtx 2060 300hz screen that was also amazing! Its nice to have a nice computer with nice specs at a decent price. Runs everything flawless got rid of my onexplayer f1 pro. Loved the handheld aspect but performance was lacking. Had to have a good experience on Doom: The Dark Ages its perfect. Didnt feel like building another computer but i def trust hp and the omen line up! Glad i didnt jump for the transcend model underpowered gpu in exchange for slim and oled not worth it! Port selection could be better but for the price no complaints. Dont give a crap about battery life play plugged in or dont play at all its a gaming laptop
