expensive; for the price you can get a more powerful laptop

I have had this laptop for about 4 months now. And it has been nothing but a pain. The noise is about like having a jet take off in your lap that never actually gets off the ground, but just sits idle on the runway. It lags doing basic tasks and locks up frequently forcing me to wait while it decides to be a functioning laptop again. It has one USB-C port and it bottle necks awful because other components are trash. It has 3 USB ports that are meh, but sometimes faster than the USB-C. It constantly drops internet for no reason and online video players on multiple sites just error out for no reason out of the box. The keys are whacky and sometimes they will register multiple entries off one press and other times it will just lag behind making you wait for what you just typed to appear. I've run repairs. I've restarted from scratch. And it is still Terrible with a capital T. I'll never buy an Omen again.

great power. I had a Lenovo last time and although the same screen size, the computer seemed smaller than this one.

Pretty decent laptop for gaming purposes. We got this on sales and it was a great value.

ABsolutely horrible - omen laptop is *supposed* to be high quality with large capacity & abilities to handle AI work, etc. I've barely had it 2 months & have had TONS of problems with it, from black screens, flashing screens, burning smell, inability to play video recordings, locking requiring hard reboot, too many needed updates to count, cursor jumping, internet connectivity issues.... I have *dealt* with customer service too many times over too many hours and too many weeks and find that many of their agents are horrible!!!! The call-in process is terribly flawed with horrendous hold music I've had to listen to, at times for more than half-an-hour just to get an agent, with disconnect issues requiring me to call back & listen to hold music AGAIN. And, even when dealing with agents, often they are (probably intentionally) obtuse, requiring me to re-ask the same questions so many times, I can't help but get frustrated with them; or are patronizing and treat me like an idiot, while failing to give me the information I need. I've attempted dealing with supervisors with mixed results. I've had to re-install the operating system (after, may I add, many dealings with agents giving me incorrect or partial information) and still the issues are not all solved. I have additionally spent more than $100 on devices to try to help this stupid laptop's perfomance, and, considering the $1500 price tag on this device 2 months ago, that is ridiculous, in my opinion. I would recommend to EVERYBODY: DO NOT BUY HP DEVICES, DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM AS A COMPANY. IT'S SIMPLY NOT WORTH THE TIME AND FRUSTRATION.

Exceeded expectations. Over all quality is great, glad i bought a cooling fan to have under as it does get very hot quickly.

The computer works so fast and the graphics are what I needed and more. I use it for my architecture job so the RAM makes my life easier.

Overall a good laptop but the battery life is very low

This was probably a lemon. Crashing from day one on incompatibility of grapgics drivers between GeForce and HP display driver.Reinstalled NVidia GeForce several times, still crashing, even when browsing the web. Either the QA at HP did not catch it This garbage should not be sold at all.

Good good gaming laptop for all types of games..5 stars for me

I really want to love this laptop. It's a great machine, but it keeps crashing and there are no log messages to help determine why. Every driver has been updated. The BIOS. All of the HP hardware diagnostics pass, but it either crashes while it's sleeping or it just locks up while I'm in the middle of using it. I would not recommend this. Also the colors on the display leave a lot to be desired. If you're doing any creative work with it, plan on an external monitor.
