Amazing Laptop if you can catch on sale.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Omen is an amazing machine. The speed, performance, and display are all top-notch. There is only one downside, and it could be a deal breaker for mobile users. The battery life isn't great. On the Eco setting, I can get about 5 to 6 hours of use just doing regular browsing or working in Word or Excel. But if you try to play a game on the battery, you are lucky if you can get a couple of hours before it's at 20%. The battery life is not something that really concerns me, because I intend to dock it and use it as my primary desktop. The fact that I can undock it and use it as a laptop is an added benefit for me. The laptop does get hot when it's running at max output, so make sure you have it on a surface where it can get good air intake. Some reviews have said the fan is loud, but I don't notice it. The Omen has been able to run every game I have thrown at it without any issues. If you can catch it on sale, like I did, it's totally worth it.

Powerful and Smooth Performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the HP Omen 16 (2025) with 32GB RAM, RTX 5060, 1TB SSD, and Ryzen 9 HX, and it has exceeded my expectations. Performance is incredibly smooth for both gaming and 3D modeling. The RTX 5060 handles modern games on high settings with great frame rates, and the Ryzen 9 with 32GB RAM makes multitasking effortless. The 1TB SSD ensures fast boot times and plenty of storage. Cooling is solid, and the build quality feels premium. Overall, an excellent balance of power and value. Highly recommend!

Excellent performance and great value
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very satisfied with this HP Omen 16. The AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX CPU and NVIDIA RTX 5060 GPU deliver strong performance — games run smoothly at 1080p and 1440p, and even heavy tasks like video editing or multitasking feel effortless. The 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD give plenty of memory and storage speed, so I don’t worry about lag or long load times. The 16″ 2K 144 Hz screen looks sharp and fluid, which makes gaming and work both pleasant. Build and cooling are solid — the laptop stays stable during long gaming or editing sessions. Overall this feels like a powerful, well-rounded laptop for games, work, and creative tasks — a great choice if you want next-gen performance without going overboard on budget.

Excellent
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot tell you this thing is better than others. I don’t have a lot to compare it to. My old computer was the HP pavilion. All I can tell you is this computer is very fast, the battery life is about 30 minutes of gaming. I use it on a cooling pad and it runs ice cold. It is a beautiful laptop and I don’t have anything to complain about except I wish it had a display port. But you can run an HDMI cord to achieve 144 HZ to a monitor.

Pretty good laptop for gaming and programming.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very impressive laptop! It can run a huge variety of games (on "can i run it" it can run 99 of the most popular games) it isn't super heavy and it's a great size. My biggest gripes is that it does get hot kinda quickly and it is kinda loud in my opinion. I cant say much about the battery life because my girlfriend uses it for her programs and when i use it i leave it plugged in so I'm not sure how long the battery actually last but for the price i got it for, it is a fantastic laptop.

High Value at a Reasonable Price Point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was such a good purchase. The laptop is fast, the graphics are great, and the laptops features are really geared towards gaming but also professional use if your in the tech or digital space. The battery does not last but with a laptop that is as powerful as this one... I would not expect it to keep up without it adding some serious heft to it which then it would lose laptop functionality. Would 100% purchase again!!!

HP OMEN 16" 5060 gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this laptop so far! Runs any game I've thrown at it at high settings and also looks beautiful hooked up to my 75" ?ini led tv with gaming inputs. My only complaint would be the battery life, which is terrible. But I didn't expect much, given the high end specs of this and it's also known that to achieve the high level of performance this is capable of, it needs to be plugged in. Not a deal breaker because I didn't buy this for portability outside of the home. Fans can be a bit noisy (just air noise) at times, but again not a big deal. I think the 17" size is perfect for any situation and if you want bigger for gaming it's simple to add an external monitor. I think anyone just getting into gaming and even a seasoned gamer would be happy with this as a whole. I purchased an "open box in excellent condition" for a significant discount and it looks and works like new. Also while the display looks great and works fine, if I was ordering one new, I might consider the upgrade to a 1440p or oled display. But at this price point, you're getting a lot of bang for your buck and I have no complaints.

Recommendeed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is nice, I got it at the lowest price of ~$900 so I take it immediately. The specs are good for the price, I can play smoothly for genshin impact and other AAA games. The only drawbacks are battery and noise, so if you are not affected by these two, you should get it (wait until discount, usually the best price is around ~$1200)

Power
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sale for around 1300. Much worth it. Runs Tarkov, Battlefield 6, OSRS, anything i've thrown at it. Gaming on battery is trash it lasts 30 min pretty much has to stay plugged in. Low graphics settings for high frames (120-130+), at max settings it gets between 40-60fps. Some design software doesn't play nice with nvidia cards but sest ah la vee

Please read!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Might be kinda long but please read if you’re interested in this laptop. I overall recommend the laptop, for the price it’s very very hard to beat, I got it on sale so it was I think around $1,200. First off bestbuy shipping is very very trash the box came in very damaged so bad the laptop wouldn’t even power on so I had to drive over an hour the next day and exchange it for a replacement, I’m not blaming the laptop for that obviously bc the box was damaged way more then I was okay with because of shipping. Since I’ve gotten my new one it’s worked great with no problems, the real complaint I have about the laptop is the overheating problem, it doesn’t kick the fans on HIGH when u have it in the Auto category meaning you gotta swap it yourself, man heating problem is the fans being on the very bottom so if the laptop is slightly raised it doesn’t get good airflow but if you tilt it up slightly the temp starts dropping fast so when I’m playing a big game like cod, battlefield or even rust I kee a check every 10-15 mins to make sure I’m not pushing over 205 degrees. Fans are loud on HIGH mode but that doesn’t bother me, overall a great laptop runs every game I’ve tried on high graphics with no problem. Only reason for a 4 star is the overheating and the shipping.. also battery life isn’t the best if you don’t keep it on charge, only while gaming tho.

Omen Max16 is awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic machine. Great frame rate, great look! Has all the bells and whistles. Purchased for gaming and as a replacement for an older laptop, and it is amazing! It is a bit heavy because of all that it can do, and the battery life while playing bigger games is just ok. Great for plugged-in gameplay!

Keith's HP Omen Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good product. I run AutoCad LT - this laptop seems to run this with no issues. It is a bit on the heavy side, but not overly weighty. When I use it w/o being plugged in, the battery level appears to drop quickly.

Great for Gaming, Bad for Portability
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very good at gaming. I thought that the RTX 5060 in it would be too weak to run some games, but STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, a very resource-hungry game, ran perfectly fine at High settings at 1080p and 60fps. However, that’s not to say that this laptop has issues. The battery life is somewhat low, running out within an hour or two on HP’s “Eco” setting in the Omen app, and with the graphics device set to the Integrated CPU graphics. That’s my only major complaint; the laptop genuinely is the best one I’ve owned, and I’d highly recommend it if you want a (somewhat) cheap gaming laptop.

Nice gaming laptop so far.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this laptop for over a month now and it runs smoothly when playing games and browsing the web. I play games on high graphics settings and do not experience lag or frame drops. The screen and keyboard are the right size for me. A few issues I have are that the fans can get pretty loud when I do play games, especially The Sims 2 (with mods), The Sims 4 and Baldur's Gate III. Another issue I've been running into is that it doesn't connect to wifi right away at times and I have to manually click connect. This doesn't happen all the time but it does on occasion. It is also pretty heavy and the charger is huge so portability is not that easy. Overall, I am satisfied and those few gripes are pretty minor for what I intend to use this laptop for.

Great computer but build is a bit flimsy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works for what i need it to. I feel like at the price its a great computer for graphics intensive tasks. Build quality could be a bit more durable but not expected at this price point.

Full overview
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Specs on the laptop are great for the price and runs well. I would recommend it only if you’re planning on having it plugged in while using. The battery life is awful unfortunately. While running the lowest graphics and display settings & just doing simple tasks, drops 60%-70% an hour. Hard to focus when the battery percentage is moving faster than the clock. Ultimately, I decided to return in. Didn’t even try to game on it without having it plugged in so I’d be surprised if it lasted longer than 35 mins. Only practical if you’re planning on having multiple batteries on standby. Also felt like I was picking up Thanos’ hammer with how heavy it was.

Great Laptop, but only for the right price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop on sale for $1279, you cant find these specs for less than $1300 currently. The laptop isn’t perfect but, in my experience thus far, its a great laptop. It crushes any game I have thrown at it on high/ultra depending on the title. Like someone else mentioned, the screen does have some sort of weird aspect ratio which I eventually got used to. It is loud when gaming but its trying to keep everything cool in a small space… noise levels are within my expectations; cant really hear it with my headset on. If you can get it at or under $1300, its a good deal. At almost $1600, I would rather spend the extra money for a lenovo.
