Slower than my 5y old Alienware 13” laptop. I wanted a smaller desktop with at least 12gb vram so on paper this machine was a good option. I’m somewhat bemused to discover that my old Alienware 13 with same 16gb ram, an i7 7 gen cpu and 1060 was more responsive. The only place I could see improvement was in GPU Ai related tasks, like Stable Diffusion and LLMs, where the 12gb vram was a big improvement over the 6 gb 1060. I also tried Baldurs’s Gate 3 game and I had problems loading the game, it took the HP about 7 minutes in order to load the game, which I consider it ridiculous. The pictures are frames from the video I showed showing the loading progression, on the laptop I could already play the game while on the HP desktop it was still loading, and loading… At that point I realized something is wrong with this computer and return was decided and a replacement was chosen. I don’t know what was causing this slowdown, was it slow cpu/memory/hdd, a factor? The motherboard chipset? No idea. From specs it should have outperformed my old Alienware but for me it felt sluggish. Like when you run a software through emulator, and you click on an icon and instead of an instant response you see the computer is taking its sweet time to react. In conclusion, if you need a machine for email, internet browsing and inference, this may do for you. Is nice looking, lightweight and the lights can be tuned down, colors changed. The cooling fan is very quiet and the main attraction is the RTX 3060, with 12gb of vram, that allows you to do things the new 4060 and 4060ti with only 8gb of ram can not do, thanks goes to Nvidia for not putting at least 12gb vram on the 4050… ahem…4060 series in 2023. If on the other hand you’re looking for a speedy computer, I would consider spending a little bit more.

Purchased for my son. While being (technically) a generation with the release of 40 series, this computer is a beast. It runs everything my son throws at including the VR. This is the 3rd one we have purchased because i have 3 boys. They all love this PC and its powerful enough for anything!

Bought the HP Omen 16GB in white for my teenage son. He loves it! I was surprised at how sleek and nice it looks when I took it out the box. Comes with keyboard and mouse. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase.

Power Supply is burned after 2 years of using. Need 700W PSU to sufficiently power the PC

If you want good game performance, you need to grab this PC! It can handle almost everything you throw at it. You can even set profiles and custom colors for the lights! I don't get why people trash on this PC. It's amazing to switch to.

The computer is amazing, and except for the problem of a ram stick not working. When I initially bought the computer, it worked great! Did everything well without a hitch! Until a ram stick stopped working. The first time it happened, i just pulled it out and put it back in and it fixed the problem, but during the second time, it just wouldn’t turn on again, which I assume means it doesn’t work. The monitor wont turn on as well, so I moved the spots of both ram sticks just to make sure it was the problem and not the ram stick holder. The other ram stick turned on again, but the defective one didn’t. My experience was great, until it wasn’t.
