Stay far away from this piece of garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll be Honest with you. I bought this tower back in November and it was the only decent tower with an RTX 2060 at the time, so I went ahead and bought it. this was a big mistake mind you. everything is well and good, played ARK just fine, then 6 months later, I'm playing No Man's Sky on Ultra, I switched my TV over to youtube for a little bit, and switched it back to find, no connection? okay whatever, tried unplugging and plugging the HDMI and display ports, nothing worked. turned it off and turned it back on, okay cool everything boots. then I go to launch no mans sky again. instant crash and loss of signal... here we go... okay so I reduced my graphics settings to medium, and was able to load back in, left the area, then turn the settings back up, everything working fine. and then it happens again later... great... called NVidia for some support, told me to turn on max performance, turn off V-Sync, triple buffering and optimized threading, cool. it worked for 9 days... till the problem showed up again, repeated the steps and 9 days later it happens again, but this time I'm playing DOOM Eternal, and Horizon Zero Dawn. at this point the steps NVIdia told me weren't working, so I call them back up and they have me do a ton of other things including some trash stress test from the 90s they had me download of "softpedia" that's a real wonder right there. ofc doesn't crash because it's an ancient piece of software not meant for 2021 graphics card. they try telling me it's "not my graphics card". even though my GPU (an OEM RTX 2060) is making a super loud buzzing sound, I continue with their steps till i can't boot anything and everything crashes everytime I launch a game. they say well im SOL. yeah, not happy about that. so at this time I call HP and they tell me send it back and they'll fix it. so i do that, and wouldn't you know it was the graphics card... I get it back and so far everything is okay, I'm still scared to play anything on ultra in the fear it will happen again. I'm upgrading the PSU from 500 watts to 850 (mind you the one included is literally a piece of trash it's an 80+ BRONZE) the only changes I've made to this tower before the issues started happening was adding a 2TB SSD. as for cooling? it's terrible, GPU heats to 80-85 degrees playing games. Stay far far far away from this tower.

Power Supply Failed in 36hrs of Owning.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY. The garbage power supply, brought to you by HP, is the reason this computer failed.. This computer ran for less than 2 DAYS... It ran GREAT FOR ONLY 10 HOURS... PLEASE... Save yourself the trouble and spend your money more wisely. I am lucky that the garbage components failed within 15 days, I will be getting a refund for this, and I urge BB to reconsider carrying this product. DONT GET BLINDSIDED. DO NOT BUY THIS.

HP Omen with a mind of it's own to shut down
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is unfortunate. Got a good deal at $949.00 and thought it would be a good starter gaming PC. Like a few others, and after only a day of using, the HP Omen has a mind of it's own, shutting down and rebooting by itself. Seems that the setup has lots to offer if you get a good one. Returned during the 30 day period with no issues. Actually only used it 4 days thinking problem would correct itself but it did not. That being said, "This Is Unfortunate".

2 in a row!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.went to our local best buy and the only gaming computer in stock was the Omen. got it home, and running...pretty good...loved the lights that you can control. the next morning while playing i noticed there was an alert that some security updates were needed. so i restarted the computer and it went to an HP diagnostics screen...that i could not get out of. going into bios did nothing. spent an hour and a half with HP help desk and they said return it. so i went to exchange it with best buy and brought home a new one. plugged it in...and it went directly to the HP diagnostic screen AGAIN!! cant get out of it! ended up going to a completely different best buy hoping they had other choices in gaming systems. all they had were the omens as well so i ended up ordering a different computer online to be delivered. what an aweful experience that took my entire 4th of July vacation to fix ...now i have to wait almost a week for a computer.

DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst first-buyers experience I have EVER been through was buying this PC. It worked for maybe 20 hours of usage time and then COMPLETELY shut off with no warnings or alerts from the PC. I waited 11 days to get this and now have to wait another 29 days for Geek Squad to A.) Find the problem B.) Fix the problem and I’m out of a PC for a month. I only downloaded Call Of Duty Warzone and played a few games. Worst buy of my life

HP Omen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Omen gaming pc is a great computer as long as it isn’t used for gaming. Never could get the unit to properly run any of the games that I loaded. Will never buy another HP Omen or anything else from HP. Spent too much on this gaming pc to use it just for browsing the Internet.
